I don't care what the justification was, you don't use a Taser on a pregnant woman. Can you imagine the shit the police would have gotten themselves in to had the baby died from that? I just don't see any way you can justify doing that, from any standpoint.

Cops are protected enough, if they see a pregnant woman as a threat then they need to find another line of work.

If her baby died it was her fault. She had numerous opportunities to do the right thing. She decided not to for no apparent reason.
When someone puts a tazer in your face and pulls the trigger... thats a pretty good warning.
She should go to jail.

Resisting arrest.
This whole thing is bullshit. If it was a white cop Al Sharpton would be up there right now. So would Jessie Jackson. Just like they showed up in Florida for the kid that got handcuffed. They alluded to it being a racist situation. Well guess what. It happened to a white kid in Mass the same week. Where the fuck are they?!?!?!
The police were absolutely within their right. They actually could have used the nightstick and been within the law. I think they made the right decision!

The piont was, she was GOING TO JAIL.

If you don't sign the ticket and promise to appear in court -- you then have to go to jail.

Yes, even pregnant women can be arrested.

She thought her being pregnant meant she was above the law. She coudl do whatever the hell she want and the cops have to let her go.

She learned the truth the hard way.

Ask your local cop how many times he's pulled over DRUNK pregnant women coming home from a bar. Many pregnant women could give a rat's ass about their baby.

If a court precedent is set that pregnant women can't be taken into custody -- meaning all a chick has to do to prevent going to jail is just say "i'm pregant" -- Somehow i don't see that happening.

And legally if she didn't sign the ticket -- she wouldn't have to appear in court. So basically she would've used force to get out of a ticket.
