Police arrest third grader and put him in an ADULT JAIL

This seems to be a disturbing trend among schools. They use the police to enforce discipline. We had a case here where a 12 year old threatened to hit the principal. What did the principal do? He called the cops! Over a 12 year old! I could maybe understand if it was a 250 lb high school kid, but a 12 year old? How can any of the other kids have respect for his authority now? I hate to sound like a grumpy old man, but when I was 12 years old, the principal was someone who was feared by kids.

As a fellow old man I agree that the Asst Principal actually was feared..

But consider that the School cannot touch the kid, can't threaten him to call his parents as the parents likely don't care or are not home, can't give him detention because there are not enough teachers willing or able to stay late or come in early or on Saturday to sit and restrain him, can't even talk down to him as to what he has done or be attacked by the media or the fellow students..

He has little choice in the liberal minded, underfunded, soft, loving public school system we have allowed to flurish..

Yeah, my bother in law went through that kinda shit at his highschool. He just graduated this year. He was an A/B student, started on the basketball team and never caused any trouble. His older brother through, caused all sorts of trouble throughout school, so the teachers had it out for the younger bro just by default. Small towns you know. One day, he was driving to a local joint for lunch and ran into his ex girlfriend. She starting yelling at him and he told her to shut up and walked away. That afternoon, two cops came into the classroom and arrested him in front of the whole class. They said that this girl had turned him in for reckless driving. She told the cops that he tried to run her off the road over lunch. His parents had to pick him up from the lock-up, chewed some ass, and everything got dropped. Two weeks later, he was 5 minutes late for class (had to drop off a younger brother). The teacher called the cops and told them he was skipping school. They showed up, arrested him again on truency charges and took him away. Again, his parents showed up and chewed some ass and everything was dropped. The principal in this school uses cops for everything these days. The parents are all pissed, the school board is pissed, yet nothing gets done. Stupid small towns.

This left wing bullshit is doubly stupid because any teacher will tell you that kids fuck about for any teacher that doesnt take care of their own discipline issues. There are things that you can do........most teachers just cant be assed to do em. If after the teacher has tried to deal with it the kid doesnt respond then it is time for them to reconsider whether they want to go to that school or not........

There's nothing wrong with placing a little fear into some of these vulgar, hateful, unruly, children running around today.

He got a life lesson early and hopefully it might have sunk in just a little bit so that he'll turn out to be somewhat less impossible to deal with when he's in the 8th grade.

My feelings on the subject are that you are in school to learn.
At this point in your life, School is your JOB. Much like your parents have a Job
They may not like it every day, but they do it because it is required.

If you don't want to be here, neither do we want you to be here interrupting
those that do.. We have tried counsuling you and asking it there is anything else
we can do for you short of doing the work for you..

Please leave..
There are plenty of Trade Schools and Migrant Worker camps for you to choose from.

Are kids meaner today or are parents and teachers weaker? When I was in school there were problem students but the school always had a way to deal with them even if it meant calling the parents to come and take their kid home for the day. Usually that brought some convincing parental discipline.

Well the teacher responded properly by getting rid of the kid.........that shit has to be stamped on. However, the counsellor sounds like a retard. It is her job to get through to kids.......she didnt get the job done. The police........well I owulda done the same lol. Scare the shit out of the bastard and maybe he'll think twice before assaulting a student next time.

thats what i think, orbly.

Children, teenagers are more disrespecful and face lessor punishment for their poor behavior therefore have less fear of authority figures. Parents are busier, teachers have less power and administrators are more politically focused so no one wants to take responsibility for shaping the kids character.

The kids arent meaner.......we just set more lenient boundaries for them. We try to be too nice to them because everybody knows that when you are nice to somebody they are always nice back........yeah right.

Many teachers are to blame.......but usually the problems are found higher up in the education system. For example, if a kid gets permanently excluded in the UK then the school gets fined.

exactly

even though i am somewhat left leaning on issues it has been proven time and time again that children CANNOT be raised or taught in a libera system. They require conservative discipline (if not outdated morality which leaves them with complexes in later life)

This child should be given some sort of 3 strikes system where after 3 serious offences he is removed from school. all schools should be streamlined into ability and behaviour IMO and when he/she persitantly shows they will not learn they should be booted into a school where the rules are harsher and the lessons are more appropriate (discipline, manual labour, farming with some achademic learning)

After that if they want to get back into a fully achaedemic school they should prove it. Tolerating children like this just shows the other children that behaviour like this can be gotten away with and is somehow worth emulating
