Poked and aspirated dark red blood.

No muscle tissue is free of veins and arteries, major ones just aren't as prevalent in the glutes.

Your response to the situation was textbook, though. You've done your homework. :)

im backing RADAR on the injecting air issue, you wouldnt get any dramas unless you started injecting lots of air into a major vessel going straight to the brain. anything into the muscle is just going to find its way to the lungs and be no drama

I was getting an IV once at a hospital and the line was full of air, there was def more than 2cc in the line. I watched in horror as she just let the air run into my vein. I finally spoke up and asked if she was trying to kill my. She said no and it would take a lot more air than that to kill me. I guess she was right cause I'm still here. It was a tense 30 minutes though.

Radar...what the hell is the reason for the medicla procedure of tapping on the pin to get the air bubbles to the top. Its in every textbook procedures. Anyone who doesent follow it is simply WRONG...according to textbook medical practices.

Not saying it will or will not kill you. But WTF is the point then...if its harmless?

im guessing it is a infection issue, as the air is a potential carrier od unsterile material (bacteria)? like i say its a guess

Don't know the answer to that i never worry about trivial things such as tiny bubbles.

Hi,
Poked in upper outer glute, aspirated some dark red blood and withdrew, then changed to a new needle and chose a different spot around the same area---2nd inject was clean.
First time i ever aspirated blood.I always thought the upper outer glute was basically free of any veins/arteries but apparently not.
I don`t know if i hit a vein or an artery----but i was concerned at first.
I did`nt want to waste the gear so i injected the blood and gear into the second site, figuring i`m just putting my own blood back into my body.
Just wondering if i did anything wrong.
Thanks for any info

You're a Daywalker, that's all.
