pm aril with questions for the woman ombudsmen candidates

She was last on at 10:09 PM this evening.

Did anyone other than Ariel in her user notes bother to ask her?

I guess this was not very well planned, huh?

actually yes, i did "bother to ask her".
I spoke to her yesterday.

Nimbus - I don't know why, but I totally knew that question was from you....anyhoo...ariel posted it last night and I answered it before I went to bed.

Nef - in the past you talked about how you didn't plan on posting on these boards much longer - i think you actually said somethign along the lines of hoping you still weren't posting 'x' amount of years from now. what made you decide that you want to stay longer and make ef a bigger part of your life

Angel - I don't read the women's boards, but I have never really seen you give advice here. what made you decide that you wanted to be an advocate for the general ef populace? Also - do you think you would be able to properly represent members who had a grievance with the exec mod needto, who happens to be your husband, without any conflict of interest. people are going to say you are biased regardless, are you prepared to deal with that?
Well let me restate here that I did not offer up to be the ombudsman, I was shocked to see my name, but figured why not. I would not mind as I have made many complaints in the past about members that I feel were banned and/or timed out and should not have been. These complaints were not only sent to admin (both digger and also rick) but I have also complained to mods and YES I have complained to my husband the mod. I felt as though being the voice of reason may be interesting, I thought why not. I don't mind standing up for people and being their voice, one thing everyone knows about me here is that I love being heard! LOL
Yes, you are correct people may think that I am biased due to my husband being a mod. However him being a moderator has no impact on how I feel or think. In fact I am still irritating him about a member that was banned that should be allowed back!!! I do not think the same way as him, just because we are married. And if anyone has a specific problem with him I do not mind having to bring that up, my personal relationship with him will not cloud my judgment as it has not in the past.

i spoke to MM yesterday before the debate. she wasn't interested in participating, don't worry.

Wow, I am sorry to hear that she was not interested though it is a better feeling knowing that she passed the offer rather than missed it.
