Part 2 of why college is pointless: I give you a story...

A boy walks into a bank and asks the manager about the job advertised for a security guard at night. The boy fills out an application and the manager says "Im sorry, this position demands a degree." The boy gets upset and storms out of the building. A few years later he walks into the same bank to make a deposit. The teller says, wow thats a big check, may I ask what you do? The guy replies "I own my own company." The teller says, "well what did you get your college degree in?" The guy replies "I never went to college!!!" The teller says "imagine were you could be if you did..." and the guy says, yea, i would be a security guard here...

are you saying all those people with out degrees that clean toilets are going to be rich?

I read your other thread and it makes no sense. Statistics show College grads, even two years college grads, make more than those with out. You're just pulling unique examples that could go the other way too. People without degrees are only a small minority of those who own businesses.

You obviously have a chip on both shoulders about being shunned by that bank years ago. Get over it.

Education is the single most important factor which distinguishes the have's from the have nots in society, and that is fact. Have a look at any demographic statistics in your city or state......they're easily obtainable, and you'll soon see a pattern developing between the level of education attained and financial well-being.

As i said earlier, you are equating motivation to education which is wrong.

Education will not guarantee you anything.........however, motivation coupled with an education will secure you a pretty good future.

Congrats on being motivated enough to do well for yourself, but to sit there and bag education because you 'made' it without is ridiculous.

I got a bank joke I heard from drew Carrey.

A guy walks into a bank and says to the woman teller "I wanna make a fucking deposit".

The woman teller says to the man "Sir can you please watch your mouth"

The guy responds again with "listen I don't wanna watch my mouth I just wanna make a fucking deposit"

Retarded thread of the week. It's a statistical fact that people with college degree's earn significantly more than those with no degree. There are always exceptions to the rule. This is akin to saying that people that smoke cigarettes get lung cancer less often than those who don't smoke.
