I have'nt done cardio in awhile and for the last 7 days I have been running on the treadmill at 7.4 miles per hour for a mile and a half to start but cant continue because I have alot of pain in my ankles. Could it be a serious problem or is it normal?

Ok well I can hear the flame throws starting up already, so I won't fuck around giving lecture's about this being an Anabolics discussion board !!!.
It could be a few things, you could be too heavy to run, you should run on a 'sprung' thread mill, you may need new and better trainer's, you could have fallen arches so as you can see the list is endless.
Ok so I'll go back to reading juice story's again.
He's all your's guy's.

LOL.... just take it slow and work your way up to more impact on your legs..... you'll probably fell some chin-splints too.

I thought I had posted this on the training board so if a monitor wants to transfer it, go ahead. What else can it be?

I was a competetive runner through college and never had any ankle or knee problems until I started on a treadmill. Now they're constantly giving me problems, even when I use the road. I have a long stride, which i think isn't the best for treadmill work. If the pain keeps up (and assuming you are using supportive running shoes...not x-trainers) I'd lay off the tradmill and try the bike or elliptical trainer.

the treadmill and running on the street can fuck up the legs, either the knee or anlke or tibia, I think running on a treadmill real fast caused a jumpers knee or tendonitis in my knee, couldnt work legs effectively for 4 weeks, and still ginger.

get some new shoes. get them fitted properly. get the way your feet roll analyised and get the appropriate shoes
