I'm pretty sure that the total number of "secular sources" that believe in a global flood is zero. Such an event would show in analysis of the strata of the geological column. It doesn't.

There is NO evidence of a global flood. I've found that creationists have a tendency to "create" science to back up there claims where none exists; It's probably easy to do when one has a faith based view of the world.

exactly. There is no evidence of global flood. Th eonly thing they could prove is that there was a flood because there was a gush of water coming through the Bosphor canal to the Black Sea and it flooded the land there. More suspicious is that the Bibles flood story is identical to the Babylonian epic Gilgamesh which is much older

There wasn't a global flood. It was global to the people that lived back then since most of the people lived in one centralized area of Europe. That's all they knew of the world, so to them it was a global flood.

If I remember correctly from the entire biology class devoted to evolution, intelligent man or Homo sapien came about around 200,000 years ago. This event was marked by the invention of agriculture. This led to man creating civilization rather than being hunter/gatherers. Things like culture/language came after the discovery of agriculture which still to this day ranks up there with the creation of language as mans greatest achievement

Agriculture only begins to appear about 10,000 years ago. Before that, it was rather difficult to cultivate crops during the Ice Age...

Language probably pre-dates the emergence of Homo sapiens. Cave paintings and other examples of early art date back over 50,000 years, indicating the presence of culture.
