optic ulcers?

I was just told I have 3 ulcers in my left eye! It hurts like hell, and I can never wear contact lenses again. I am pretty freaked out, since my vision may be affected from scarring...anyone know anything about these ulcers? Would I be a candidate for Corrective Laser Surgery once this has healed up?(as long as it does properly)

Do you take you lenses out each night?

Wear them 24 hours or more than 16 hours a day ?

This is the leading cause of ulcers..
Reason why I kept the daily wears that come out each night vs going extended wear.

hmmm...never heard of this....i usualy can't sleep with mine in anyway, so they always come out at night

yes i take them out every night, but I do wear them for extended periods of time...about 12-16 hours a day. Never could get used to glasses, but I guess I have no choice now!

you got em from wearing your contacts too much

12-16 hours is not really bad unless you let them (lenses) get nasty or old and gritty.
I usually take mine out in the early evening when I get home if I'm going nowhere
to give them a break.. I would wait until they heal and get another opinion on the
