Oprah is a racist

I might be wrong - but I think America will have a black president before they have a woman president. That comes from my days in business - women hate to be bossed around by other women. Hence, women tend not to vote for women yet blacks will almost always vote for blacks.

So would that make the blacks who will vote for Obama b/c he's black racist?

As a black she has a personal interest in seeing a black president. I don't think that is racist. There has never been a black president and she must feel she can kind of make history.

As far as his policies, I think she is probably in line with most of them.

Let's put it this way: do you think she would endorse a conservative black like me? Hell no. She, just like most liberal blacks hate Clarence Thomas because of his conservatism even though he is black and a Supreme Court Justice.

She'd call Clarence a house n*****.

Maybe - the ones who vote for him only because he is black and not because he is better than the other candidates.

Let me say this - I think we will have a black president before we have a woman because 1) Whites will vote fore a Black president they believe in 2) Blacks will vote fore a Black candidate because he is black 3) Men will generally not vote for a woman and women will generall not vote for a woman.

So what chance do the Demorcrats have???? Maybe Oboma (but he is a bit left to bring in many white men) or Edwards. Hillary is toast. imho

Hmmm.. interesting point. You think racial bias is different from racism?

You think racist defines purely hate for another race?

Yes, totally different in my opinion. I've always defined the term racist as hateful, but like I said, the word has different meanings.
Many religions chose their "own" in biz, housing, work etc based on race. It doesn't make them racist, but they chose maybe b/c of what's comfortable to them.

ok - let's try to define racist. Here is Webster's definition. Do you think Oprah fits that?

racism
One entry found.

If she were endorsing him on color alone, then maybe, but I do believe she is a HIGHLY intelligent person and is chosing him b/c of this policies and belief system and yes, it helps that he's a strong black man. Nothing wrong with wanting her race to be looked at as strong.
So yes, if she is chosing him just on color, according to this definition, then she is a racist.

Which brings me back to my original point - if it was not because of his race, then why did she never endorse any other democrat candidates that have a very similar platform?

So all black people will cast their vote purely based on race? That's a pretty big generalization/stereotype...racism? Are you saying they're too stupid to pick the best candidate? Unable to separate ethnicity and politics? Are you using a single celebrity (Oprah) to base this opinion on? Or is this indicative of a larger prejudice? I can't help but sense the racist undertones of your posts in this thread.
