once a week frequency not enough for chest for me?

well it seems apparent that my chest weights are moving up as much as i would like them. all my other weights i dont normally have a problem with. i recover pretty well and quickly from soreness, so it seems like i am in 5 days of anabolic activity for my chest and its ready to train again, but i have to wait those 2 extra days. what should i do? go a heavy day then a light day 4 days later to stimulate the muscles? how can i incorporate it into this routine?

tues chest and bis
wed off
thurs back and tris
fri off
sat off
sun shoulders
 
EWWW AHHHHH I wish I could take you and mold you and show you how to train with much greater results. You must be a volume trainer by the sounds of it. Consider this if you are training chest only once every 5 to 7 days you are only getting 52-62 growth phases a year basically the most you can gain in 1 year is 1 inch. If you ask me thats not maximizing your fullest potential. Especially when you could be realistically putting on 2-2.5 inches a year with more growth phases. Though it is a hard task from turning a volume trainer over to low volume high intensity trainer. Its like tryn to get a lesbian to try and sleep with you doesnt happen too often lol.
 
Something to consider - stop trying to make your scheduele fit on a weekly calendar. I don't know why so many people tie themselvse to having a 7 day cycle.

I have a 4 day cycle. Don't care what day it is, if it's chest/tri/forarm/ab day, doesn't matter if it's Monday or Saturday, I'm going to do my chest/tri/forarm/ab routine.

ill try the lesbian thing
 
make a training schedule that fits your own recovery time, I work on a 6 day schedule cause my body can optimally heal then and progress, if yours is more or less change to that pattern

What about high volume/high intensity? Some people say they cant handle it though. But I think maybe they underestimate themselves. The body can take some abuse.:D
