Oaky boys, just saw the doc about my abscess. Here's what he said...and I need some input.

Well the one on my left delt has gone down somewhat, almost not too much at all really anymore. The one on my right delt is still a problem. He said it was a sterile abscess, and the next step is to see the surgeon. I barely got B12 outta my mouth when he asked if I was shootin juice. I told him no. He said apply heat in the mean time. Now i have a few questions....

How long will this procedure take roughly? It's not an over-night deal is it?

What's the point of putting heat on it if it's gonna require surgeory?

Since i told the doc B12, it shouldn't show up on any insurance records as otherwise should it?

Thanks.

i duno about the heat.. that dont really make sense..

about the b12.. i would have probably gotten a little defensive as to emphasize that you are NOT on juice.. thats a shitty situation.. hopefully hes not a dick and puts your on juice anyway.. good luck bro, let us know how it turns out

Hey bro, th heat is to help move the fluid through increased circulation and make sure white blood cells etc get to the area. The procedure takes under an hour. Don't sweat the insurance issue. Just stick to the b12.

I don't know what your reasons are for not telling your doc, but I told mine and he gave me the old song and dance and I explained to him the best I could for him to see that I had some knowledge of what I was doing. I basicaly told him that if he didn't want to see me anymore that's fine. There are plenty of docs out there to see. He told me at least you were honest and that he has no problem continuing to treat me. So now I know if I need bloodwork or whatever done, the song and dance has been given allready.

If it's not infected, I think you may be able to make this go away with applying heat and massaging several times per day. Let hot water run on the area in the shower for about 10 minutes, and then spend 10 minutes doing a deep tissue massage on the area. Do this a few times per day, and you might have success.

heat will help blood circulate and eventually bring it down. Iwould ride it out a few more days wit heat. stick to the b 12 thing and just be cool. good luck

I goota a bad feeling it's not goin away without drainage. Maybe the left one, but the right one is just a big old squishy lump. I gotta wait till the 20th to see the doc for consultation in any event. hopefully surgeory won't be too long after.

And remember the moral of the story.....STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM SYRUS SUSPENSION, OR SYRUS PRODUCTS FOR THAT MATTER.

Um... he knows it's not b12. B12 is water based.
What's more, they are going to pull oil out when they drain the abcess. So you're not fooling anyone. Just so you know. :)
got scammed outa some B12 then ;)

what is oil based that in the future will be a good excuse for when your surgeon drains your lumps and sees a bunch of it? (hypathetically)

Re: Oaky boys, just saw the doc about my abscess. Here's what he said...and I need so

I have a lump from build up going on 2 weeks now on one bicep..it is starting to go away slowly.I have been using heat pad at home and after working out I sit in the dry suana for about 30 or 45 minutes and massage it while in there.Just started that a week ago and it is actually going down..did cause a 2" increase in my arm but after the suna and massaging it has went down a inch..

have you tryed to draw the abcess out? Im not saying operate but if theres a pockett you may be able to withdraw some of that sterile abcess.

the only reason im saying this is because i have done this and it cleared up like it never happened. once you get most of the fluid out the body can usually take care of the rest.

the docs will probly slice into the muscle and drain it, then fill it up with cotton.

had a abscess drained a few months ago,(on my shooulder) it was infected, look like a golfball sticking out of my shoulder, did a whitehead form on top of it? anyways dcr sliced it and all this dark red syrup(thick) blood came spilling out, instance relief, pack it full of guase to keep cut open so it could drain more, gave me some antibiotics, went back two days later, pulled the gause drained some more. was back working out in a week. after two weeks all i had was a scab on shoulder. i told dr i was on steroids, know big deal. also do not try to drain it yourslef, i did that and made it even worse.
