It's not like it's 100% controllable like quit eating big macs from now on. You can't just stop cold turkey from willpower alone. And throwing these people in jail during that difficult up and down process of quitting doesn't help anyone.
Now he'll sit in jail, with no meth -- and have his body go through a torture and withdrawal one can only imagine.

and we should feel sorry for him as he goes thru withdrawls?????..i agree jail is far from the answer, i think jail in this case is a complete waste of time...as with any drug influence charge (except drivers under the influence)....do you think the possiblity of such violent withdrawls may make a person think twice before he or she does these addicting drugs again?

damn, addiction know's no barriers...i always thought meth was a lower class drug and that the hollywood ballers would be more into blow.
