Nolavdex has been used with good results in men with heart disease. It lowers triglycerides and improves the lipid profile and also makes arterial walls nice and supple.
As Huck said it acts as an estrogen at the liver and we all know estrogen is somewhat protective against heart disease.
The whole arimidex thing has been blown way out of proportion IMHO. Most men won't get that bloated unless they go above a gram of test. Also some estrogen is needed as it stimulates IGF-1. I never use arimidex anymore for health reasons, and believe it or not nolvadex does leesen water gain.
One last thing ...both nolvadex and clomid have a positive affect on ones mood while "on".
