Newbie Advice

BTW, thanks for the good advice I got. I will make sure that I

a) find out what types of foods to eat in what amounts
b) am doing the excercises correctly
c) join a gym and get a trainer
d) only cycle long enough to get results and get the rest honestly

thanks again.

Novice...don't be impatient. I was 140 at 24 and 6' tall. I was able through PROPER diet and PROPER lifting, to go up to 202 lbs within 4 years. I probably gained 30 lbs or so of lean mass, maybe even 40. It requires dedication. What are you going to do when your roid gains evaporate because you don't lift anyway?

read read read. While your getting your training and diet in check, do all the research you can. Try looking at the diet and training boards. As far as aas, you want to feel confident that you know everything there is to know about what aas is, what it will do to your body, what side effects it will have, what you will need to do to recover from your cycle...etc.

BTW: Anadrol is definately not a good choice. It is the most powerful steroid, but at the same time it's highly toxic, highly anabolic, and aromatizes easily which can result in gyno, and you will lose almost all that you gain after you discontiue use.

def: armoatize: converts to estrogen
gyno: see picture

Are you competeing professionally? No. So don't compare yourself to Lou. Stop looking for an easy way, and try working hard.

Heh, Lou started at 17 and wasn't competing professionally either. I think he just wanted to get laid at first. But that doesn't really matter. My point is that a lot of professionals started by taking steroids. Even Arnold. I'm not comparing myself to any of those guys. Simply stating a fact.

Look, I don't think that I have unreal expectations and I really do appreciate your advice. I understand that cycle or not, this is something that will take lots of hard work and sore muscles. The Solo Flex guy comment was not a serious one... I kinda thought it was funny.

Now this is advice I can follow. LOL. Thanks BigB_79. That picture is all I needed to seal it for anadrol. No thanks...as bad as I look skinny, that would be just plain rediculous looking.

I believe that orals are out for me due to the toxicity factor anyway. If you have any ideas or book recommendations to help me find these answers on my own, that would be great. In the meantime, I'll keep searching. I was hoping to get solid advice from those who have cycled successfully on the points you raised here.

i'm just about your same age and recently did my first cycle. i won't tell you to wait a few years because at our age that's fucking stupid. i would, however, recommend that you hang out on this board for a couple of months and read all you can before you make any decisions.

i agree with Satch on the Sustanon. it's not what i did but i wish i had. i'm not sure i would go 12 weeks right off the bat, though. i went 6 weeks on mine (Winny tabs and Test Prop) and recovery has been pretty easy. from what guys on here say, and it makes a lot of sense, recovery gets more difficult the older you get.

Thanks, nadr

I think that at 35, and as bad as I feel (tired lots, short-term memory issues, decreased sex drive and stamina, etc...) steroids are a reasonably safe option, and if I can do this properly, it could change my life for the better. I do know that to do nothing at all is no longer an option.

I will take your advice and continue to read and read and read before I do a cycle...if I do.

If you've made up your mind that your going to do a cycle then there is probably nothing anyone can say or do to stop you. If you do decide, stay away from orals for your first cycle and go with maybe 250mg-500mg of sustanon for 8-10wks. You might want to keep some anti-e's on hand in case of signs of gyno, but I doubt it at such a low dose of sust. Do some research on post cycle therapy. If you dont do anything post cycle, you will lose all you have worked for. Something cheap and easy is clomid, but there is depression and moodiness usually associated with it. Just do lots of research and you will be fine. Good luck with it.
