Time to get motivated again!
I wasn't enjoying myself as much in the gym, and I haven't been in over a week!!!
Starting to eat sugary treats and not care!
Solution:
I'm going to start a new program in the New Year.
German Body Comp training, as per Charles Poliquin.
Anyone try this yet?

never tried/heard of it but good luck girl!

don't let a week (or two or more) set back get you down!

Oh Trex..I'm right there with ya! I'm re-starting on Monday. I've never heard of the training program but am looking forward to hearing about it. I'm thinking we can join the Radar bootcamp and he'll whip us into shape! Crack the e-whip oh drill sergeant! ;)

Yeah! New Year! New Journal!

Never heard of that program, but looking forward in following along.

Taking a break from the gym even now and then is always a great idea. Now you will be fresh to start your new program.

Thanks guys!!
I'm getting psyched.
No excuses, just forward moving :)

That's a very demanding program. Good luck. :)

I have never done the German Body Comp but it's German so it has to be good ;-)

I think everything is worth tying as this is how you learn your body. Give it a go for at least a month and see if you are happy with the results.

A week is not bad, you miss that when you go on vacation, and it's hard to totally avoid treats this time of year. The key is moderation, and you've got some extra stuff going on girl that makes things even harder sometimes. Don't be too harsh on yourself! :qt:

I know what you mean about restarting though, I gotta get my ass in gear, too.

Going to the gym at lunch today, gonna do legs, but am expecting some DOMS, but am looking forward to it actually!

Roxy722, you should go back to your old one.

The important thing is your back in the gym. You'll get the new program figured out soon enough.

Good luck!

No gym for a couple days as my husband has gone into acute kidney failure and I am going to be busy doing other stuff. Maybe on Saturday if he's doing better. His heart failure medication apparently precipitated the kidney failure. Ladies, take care of yourselves and treat your bodies well, I wouldn't wish this on anyone.

My heart goes out to you and your husband. I'm so sorry to hear about this. Hang in there and I will be thinking of you guys and praying for you both. I'm here if you ever need anything. :)

WOW trex, prayers for both of you.
And of course good thoughts too.
Nice workouts btw.
Epsom salt baths for the DOMS also just a good mood lifter.
My best to you lady!

he has just been put on the heart transplant list as a very high priority...so I am just trying to take it day by day.

could be tomorrow, it could be six months from now.
we just need the right donor heart to come along.
and unfortunately that only really happens by accident. It is a strange feeling, wishing for someone to die so my husband can live.
He may be moved onto a mechanical "bridge" heart if it takes too long to find a donor heart.

You a strong lady trex...RESPECT, prayers and love to you both.:rose:

I hear ya'. I would have a difficult time thinking that way too. I've never heard of a mechanical "bridge" heart.

I know this is tough on you. *Hugs*

He is doing great, and Monday we have an appt with his transplant coordinator to talk about instructions for when he comes home...
If his next heart biopsy is OK, he could be home on Wed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't wait to have him home, its lonely without him.
And I am starting to feel more hope ful and happy, and not so stressed out.
Mostly right now I am plumb tired most of the time, my schedule is usually:
5:15- get up and walk dog
6-make breakfast
6:15-7- get ready for work
7-15- get on bus
8 start work
12-1- gym or errands
5 head to hospital and visit with the big guy till 7
7:30 get home and walk dog
8:00 make dinner/laundry/tidy up
9- RELAX!!!!! read or watch TV
9:30 bed

Oh crap did I not mention he got the heart transplant on Friday!
Yes, and he's doing sooo well.
He was lucky to get one so quickly, but it is a bit sad to think of how he got it...A real gift from a stranger.

Those are long days! added in the stressors and just getting to all the day to day functions of life. You are one strong woman!! I'm so glad to hear your hubby is doing better!! :)
