New PR gotta tell people

keasbey

New member
so ive havent posted my progress on the boards but ask tons of questions all the time, so i figured id share todays success.

age 23
weight 161lbs
height 5'11

been doing the 3x5 for the last 2 months. started with basically bar weight and moved up *wasnt doing cleans/squats/deadlifts/standing military press before so didnt have a reference number*

today did 200lb squats 3x5, bench 160 *this is my pr i stalled at 155 3 weeks back and slammed 160 today no problem* and 150 deadlift

standing military is at 120lb but i think im gonna stall out on 125lbs
powercleans weve for some reason been doing 3x5 when it should be 5x3 so hopefully that will make them feel lighter but they are at 145lbs

squats deads still have a bit to go before i stall for the first time.. squats are getting closer but deads are no where near..

anyway i was just so pumped to throw down the bench pr today and look forward to 165 on fri..

Ps. i know the numbers arent crazy impressive but it feels good to finally bench bodyweight especially 15 times

Don't be an asshole bro.

He isn't trying to show off, he is proud of his own personal record and he should be, don't take that away from him. =)

congradulations on your new personal record, it's always nice to break though boundaries and lift more!

Good job man, just keep it up. If you do, before you know it you'll be lifting weights that you once thought would be impossible to lift.

Congrats sir, its important to share success with people who can appreciate it! 3x5 one of the best routines no doubt good luck smashing more barriers.

Impressive.

Bodybuilding is a very individual sport, and it is all about challenging yourself.

Congratulations on your progress.

BOMBS away!!!!!

This is when I had more karma power, I love it when Needsto cleans out ALL of someone's karma with one hit.

Unless you have something positive to say to forward the thread, like what you did to improve your lifts, then in future, please keep it to yourself.

This is not a pissing contest.

I took care of the rest :).

I had contemplated bombing him earlier but changed my mind.

No kidding, to take away form someone's gains/ PR's like that, and talking about your own "stats" really shoes your own insecurities.

Any PR is an important PR, weather it be a 200lb squat or a 500lb squat, there's no need to try and take that away for anyone.

And no one cares how much ali23 and his friends can team bench press/ row.

Congrats on your PR's keasbey.

thanks for all the kind words and the negative one.. kinda motivation in some twisted sense.. i reread my post to check if it seemed as if i was bragging or somthing cause im known to type Are when i meant arent.. which can totally skew the way a msg is interpreted. hes still young and bragging goes along way. but anyway thanks again. my fav part of lifting is its a competition with myself

Great job man. Don't worry about the weight a PR is always a great thing. Now just keep it up and keep getting stronger.

Cheers,
Scotsman
