Need some bike advise

Another thing Kayne, I think you and I have major difference's as to what the limitations of a sport bike are. No, stoppies and head stands don't count. Tricks are for kids I always say.

However power slides, and wheelies out of the turn while leand over do count in my book. The only time I'll do a stoppie is if I miss judge my entry speed, not cuz it looks cool. (although in that context it does look pretty cool)

Not trying to be a dick here, but when some one ask about what sport bike they should get I feel its important to stress the purity of it. Not what is "TRENDY" or fashionable.

Truth be told there are SOooo many good bikes out there, you almost can't go wrong. Not many guys out there that can ride as hard as Kent Kunitsugu (editor for Sport Rider) so his advice I'll take with a grain of salt.

Its as silly as following a pro body builder's routine. Too many loose variables, sometimes you have to do your own math.

Last one .

I love this bike is sweeeeet as hell...
They raced it on a track against the Ferrari Meduna or whatever the hell its name is, the 250,000$ car and the Augusta ripped up the track...

I'm in total agreement with Ingram. The TL1000R would prolly be a great sportbike for you. Its a vtwin and its fast as hell and comfy for a sportbike.

Of course the 2002 Yamaha R1 in silver will be in my garage soon.

I'd congratulate you on your EXCELLENT CHOICE, but dood.. don't get a first year fuel injected R1. Your bike will spend more time getting fixed for recalls than you'll spend riding. I want one bad, but I'll wait till they have the issues sorted out.. kinda like 98 R1 vs 2000 R1. Get yourself a 2001, as they're dirt cheap now.

All bike manufacturers have some minor initial qurks, but Yamaha for example has been tunning race cars and mapping out fuel injection systems for a long time now. Lets not forget the obvious, a long history of GP and WSB (world super bike) experiance.

I still stand by what I said previously, get what you like you'll be happier in the long run.

Find you a bike that you're comfortable on first.
Don't worry about the speed, hell all of them will
go fast. The question is how fast do you want to go?

Personally, I would keep the Harley.
