if it's just swollen a little tomorrow, - can I lift?
.

Don't lift when it's still swollen. If the swelling increases tomorrow, you need to see a doctor.

1/2 way down my forearm - all the way to my wrist - if I push - it stays pitted for about 30 seconds.

It is warm to the touch
it is definitely fluid build up of some sort. my concern would be the edema might or might not be related to what happened. I would go to the Dr. to see if it could be a thrombus (blood clot), or maybe cellulitis, in which case you will need some iv antibiotics. Dont put it off to long. If the area is tender to the touch, red, edematous (swollen). I would hace some level of concern. In a case that it is cellulitis, to long w/o treatment could lead to permanent damage. Think about it this way, to find out that it is nothing at all is alot less expensive than finding out to late that it could have been resolved easily if caught early enough.

can a blood clot be caused by a quick strangle to the forearm?

Any cures for minor edema?

I notice I'm retaiing a decent amount of water in my body from my cycle along with this - should use the normal procedures I normally use to drop water?

1) a blood clot (DVT) can cause a strangulation effect which can lead to an edematous build up in the area it is located. If it is a blood clot you do not want to diurese anything, due to the fact that dropping fluid out of the vascular space will cause the blood to be thicker and create larger clots.
2)Is the skin getting hard to the touch. If it is GO TO THE DR. It is cellulitis.
3)If you want a mild diuretic try about 400 mg caffeine and 5000mg vit. C. Both are mild diuretics.
4)I do not recommend diuresing yourself though. make sure its not a dvt.
