just a question though: So having a marijuana as a background for your site means that your smoking pot? ( Is best to ask your son and talk to him than accusing of him that he's doing it especially basing it only on some background that he had use on some site.)

this is the fault of the parents. kids wouldnt have tvs, dvd players, Xbox's in their bedrooms if the parents didnt provide for it and allow it. Kids wouldnt be spoiled if parents didnt spoil them. As parents we have ourselves to blame for that. My son doesnt have anything in his bedroom except a dresser, bookshelf loaded with books and some lincoln logs. When I send him to his room, he aint havin that much fun. LOLBlondeBombshell27 said:Most or all kids today have absolutely zero respect for themselves or anyone or anything for that matter. You can't punish them like how our parents us to punish us, because you'll end up in jail. Sending them to their rooms isn't much of a punishment these days, because kids have tvs, dvd players, computers, an xbox, and a sony playstation in their bedroom. Kids today have cell phones and blackberries or those sidekicks. Kids today have it way too easy. They are way too spoiled! I honestly don't want to have any children of my own at this point.

Parenting is tough. As my father once said "If at some point in their lives, your kids dont hate you, then youre doing something wrong." Sometimes as parents we have to be the "bad guy".FEISTY11975 said:Thats the thing...The computer was not in his room. It was at his dads house in their office but as of yesterday they got rid of it. When we all lived together, he was not allowed to be on the internet. When hes with me hes not allowed still. Only with his dad can he do whatever he wants to. I put my foot down last night so hopefully I nipped this in the butt before it got any worse.![]()

MrMuscle said:hahaha, this reminds me of a similar thing on "the world of warcraft" board. in short, this kid played after his bedtime, and posted about it on the forum. then his mom posted afterwards saying "you are grounded!" lol, laughed my ass off when i saw it.
I wouldnt want my son to talk to me like he talks to one of his friends. Boundaries my man, boundaries. We are very very close, and we talk about whatever he wants to talk about. But i have to tell him many times, do not talk to me like Im your peer. Im your mother.Dial_tone said:I agree. Growing up my sister and I had our own tv's (computers weren't around then) and I think it's a large part of why we waren't close now. The only time we were ever all in the same room was dinner and we were taught not to talk with our mouths full. I have friends who talk to their parents like friends and that just blows my mind. I envy that.

FEISTY11975 said:update...his myspace account is officially deleted. Had a nice long argument with him. Hes punished for the time being. Lied in our faces saying he didn't know that it said what it did. lol So, I decided to bring up a few other things that I had heard. He got very defensive so I knew they were true.
I need a beer!!!!!!
