my venice beach pl results

well, i managed one pr... but it was a fun experience...i didnt get the total i was hoping for (1100)... but may have had it if i didnt go for pr's after my openers... but i will just train harder and eat better so next time will be better...
weighed in at 147.5 (148.8 limit) on empty stomach day before ...didnt have to use diuretics or s sauna to make weight, so i have some room to growing this class...

3rd 424 PR

2nd missed 192
3rd same

1st 440
2nd 485 misssed, had it at knees
3rd missed 485... had it up to lower thight and fought it like a pit bull pulling on a rope...
my previous pr dl was 479... i did 455 in training 2wks ago, so now im kicking myself in the ass for not trying 460ish for my 2nd... oh well...
...back to the dungeon...
edit: bench and dl were raw (only belt)... squat in suit, belt,wraps... i will be looking forward to trying a bench shirt soon...

Good job, next time will be better! Got learn with the mistakes right?
 
That is great work!

One of the biggest issues in PLing is determining what your weights are going to be. I ALWAYS do the PR on the 3rd lift. The come out lift is also one I know that I could do even if I had a severe injury.

total look good to me also, allowing for comp. inexperience. Keep up the good work. I'm sure your numbers will jump next time out.

i should have done it like you said with the pr 3rd... but i read somewhere (dont remember where), to open with somthing i can tripple , then go small pr, then 'go for it'... it worked on my squat at least...

...yesterday i was already back in the gym... my goal is to get the WABDL state record deadlift (513) i have been chasing for about a year... personal issues put my training back a bit... but i feel it coming soon...
...this was my first full power meet (USPF), and ive done 2 DL only meets (WABDL) within the last year... so i know i have a lot of strength to gain :evil:
