Why would I get Ultimate over Home? From a gaming perspective?

windows xp mode is useful from a gaming perspective if you have older games that won't run well in windows 7. i actually just read the comparisons, and professional is what i meant.

I don't see the benefit from a gaming perspective to adding Win Pro...I cna use that money for some decent surround sound or a nice 23" LED display

at this point you are probably right since you've already paid for home.. shelling out for a second copy probably isn't worth while.
