My doctors visit for PCT!

Ok, so he tells me he agrees with what I'm saying about my symptons and wants about a bizzilion blood tests taken..........all good....then he says I can't eat for 12 hours!!!!!!!!!! All because of the cortisol test???? Cmon, is it necessary???? I'll at least see if I'm shut down, right???


I've never fasted for more than 3 hours in my life!!llolo...............necessary?

Just get all your blood work done early in the morning around 7:30 am or so. It will be relatively easy too fast a few hours before bed then just wake up, have your bloodwork done then eat breakfast. I know what you mean about not eating though....I avoided a colon exam because they wanted me to starve myself for almost a day and then flush myself out completely. I said "Pfft...no F'ing way" But it wasn't a necessary exam, just a suggestion if I wanted to do it. But if it's a necessary exam, then it must be done.

i would....if I go more than 3 hours without eating, my stomach starts digesting my liver!!!

Fuck it.. go 12 hours with no food! You want all the tests to be 100% accurate. Keep the Doc happy. Most wouldn't even run the tests!

I just want to know how important it is to fast...........sometimes MDs err on the safe side, but what is ONE meal gonna do......have my protein and oats and go......if it's cortisol he's worried about, that can be sqewed by many things....later in the day, training first, etc......
