Morning Protein...Flax Seeds

An update on my diet....

I am down from 302 to 277. Strength levels are the same.

Pintoca had mentioned adding a little flax seed oil to my diet...

Can I add flax seeds to my morning shake....

Morning shake is the first meal of the day. It has protein, oats, water, splenda.

Congratulations on your cut so far!!!

I have to defer to whatever the experts say about adding the flax, but remember that you need to grind the flax seeds or buy preground, they won't get mascerated enough in the blender and they are simply indigestible in their natural state.
 
I completely got rid of all my flax after reading those studies showing how it binds to testosterone. I have no idea whether or not if actually had an effect or not. (Libido's still strong as always ;) )

Flax really doesn't have any DHA/EPA either:

One Tablespoon of Flax
Saturated Fat - 1.5 g
Monounsaturated Fat - 2.5 g
Polyunsaturated Fat - 9.5 g
Omega 3 - 7.5 g
EPA/DHA - 0.0 g
Omega 6 - 2.0 g

You're better off stickng with nuts, olive oil and fish oil in my opinion.
 
That is kind of alarming that they effect test levels...

I just ordered a bottle of flax seed oil and then I saw these flax seeds for $2...so i picked those up.

Guess I'll feed em to the wifey....
 
Yeah, I would opt for fish oil. I am a fan of mixed meals....but to me flax is not worth it. Lignans. Besides, you want EPA/DHA, which in marine sources does not have to be broken down into from its parent ALA. Some folks do not do this well anyway.
 
Greenland Shark Oil is phenominal, sold under the brand name Lysi. Walnuts are also a super source, and add great crunch to life.
