Morning Empty Stomach Cardio, Good or Bad?

I know that this is probably the wrong forum, but this is where most of the Bro's are!!
Anyway is morning cardio on a empty stomach a good or bad thing especially if you are "NOT ON"? I don't want to burn up any muscle mass!

Add some Aminos and MCT oil before you do the cardio. You should be fine going that route.

Yes, of course it would decrease effectiveness, but only to a minor degree. The ability to keep muscle mass while shedding maximum amounts of bodyfat is what everyone looks for.
 
lol, I just finished up 30 minutes on the elliptical. Woke up at 8:00am, drank a few cups of water, took some ECA then hit the gym.

Morning Cardio has always worked for me. Great way to shed some fat. I drink a protein shake about 15 minutes after finishing. One scoop of Muscle Milk powder, two scoops of whey protein in 16oz of skim milk.

The MCT oil will push you into a semi-ketonic state, where ketones will be used for energy - especially you have low blood glucose levels in the AM. Give it a try, you'll see the difference is minor - 10-20% would be my rough guess.

On the other hand, even if we do take 50% as a hard figure, it's still more beneficial to preserve muscle mass while experiencing a high level of lipolysis. AM cardio in a semi-fasted state has proven to be more effective for dieters then PM fed cardio.
 
actually ive been doing just that to help me cut (only thing i hit is 1 cup coffee) and its been working great, have i lost some muscle, of course, but thats the nature of the beast....i have been doing this without AS and go 6 times a week sometimes even getting my workout on an empty stomach as well (well with NOxplode) workout for a half hour then straight to cardio for another half hour (3 days a week) and the results have been great still deadlifting in the mid to high 400's for reps of 5's at 204 so strength is still good......i have decided to hit a cycle again soon and once i do that i will step up the cardio to 2 times a day and lower the cals a bit more with my final goal being 195, down from 220 and max dead in the mid 500's (maybe 600 but that would be pushing it for me) for 1 .........
