More people Divorced then Married...

biteme said:
Not in my experiences. I've met so many late 30's and 40's women that were desperate to marry. If you weren't serious by the second or 3rd date, they'll move on cause they don't want to miss out on their chance to land some sucker.

I dont think that your perception is necessarily accurate.

I think it had more to do with SEX than it did with marriage. There aren't that many sexually liberated women in the US. They are still hung up on that whole "Am I a whore if I *give it up* too easy?" bullshit instead of thinking, "Hmmm I am fucking horny and this guy doesn't annoy me too much. I hope he can eat pussy and knows to leave when I am done." Especially here in the bible belt. I am willing to wager that you wont find very many women 30's and up of my mindset... or at least, those who will openly admit to it.

You guys would get way more ass if that were the case and feel far less pressure for marriage.

My Old Grump was the one who wanted marriage. He was in a HYUGE hurry to seal the deal because he knew that I was not one to get hung up on sex. I was in NO HURRY but he apparently was as we were married on our third date. :qt:

He claims that he loved me before we ever met.

I'm not shocked because people get married in haste or for the wrong reasons.

All my friends except one are divorced.

That one friend was on the road to getting divorced until she realized the "lifestyle" she was going to be giving up and just how much it would cost her to duplicate it.

I think it boils down to lack of respect.

But that's just me.

Agreed.

Yeah, I'm afraid I was rather disappointed in her myself - I've been avoiding her because she can read my face so well I don't feel like getting into a fight with her. Especially when I have to hear how the sight of her naked husband "repulses" her.

But she's going to Paris for her anniversary next month so it's all ok now.

I don't know what happen to the girl I became friends with 10 years ago.
:(

Wait, didn't you just get engaged to someone you'd only know for like 2 months?

Married couples have recently slipped into the minority in the U.S. (49 %)

Where do you fit?

Didn't you just harass someone for misspelling labor when they actually just spelled it the british way?

I must humbly disagree. It is actually the women that want no part of marriage the second time around. Once their children are older the number of women that remarry in comparison to their male counter parts PLUMMETS.
I disagree based on what I observe in the online personals. They are full with divorced women 35+ looking for marriage. Or they all lie.
And personally I've had many single dates (i.e. no second date) with women 35+
they know I'm not settling down with 35+
35+ is for shits and giggles(sex)
