Hello All. Yesterday was Bench Day. And let me tell you im banged up lol.

Close Grip Bench w/ black Bands:
135 x 3 @ 8 sets

Lockouts with 1 mat Placed on the floor:
315 x 1
365 x 1
385 x 1
405 x 1
415 x 0
415 x 0

Attempted 415 two times since i felt like i could have gotten it. I was defeated. BUT ive never done 415 laying flat on the floor with no leg drive and working the top part of the lift so therefore it was a win also!

The close grip benching with the bands really aggrevated my joints. Im guessing from the band tension. I wanted to dip as well to complete my chest/tricep workout but just felt too much pressure in left elbow and right shoulder so i took it easy. No need for injury now =]

I got my Smelling salt in the mail yesterday lol I wont be using any before the competition. I want it to really give me an edge.

Thanks for reading. Today is LEG day again. Im going to be squatting/leg work today. I will be doing partials today again as well. Im going to try to do them on the 6th Pin today. Who knows if its too hard then ill go back to 7 pins and nail 7.5 plates =]
 
EF WORLD! Leg DAY!

Felt really good squating for 5 yesterday...When i did my singles i was little drained but i pulled through. Was more tired than usualy since i was training after a long work/school day.

Squats:
172 x 5
215 x 5
258 x 5
300 x 5
340 x 5

Finally hit 340 x 5, ive been stuck at 340-345 for about 2 weeks. If you read the log last week i went for 345 x 3, but i kept going and got 4 reps. So i figured i was strong enough for 340 x 5. Nailed it. Had plenty in the tank still too.

Squat w/ Old Handmedown Suit (got other suits in the mail from a good bro on here):
405 x 1
505 x 1
515 x 1
Could have gotten somewhat lower, suit was nice and tight had the straps taken up just a bit so it was harder getting down. Nice fit.

After that packed up and went home =]

Ive been soooo busy this week last week with school work.

I got like 5 new videos for everyone.

I was squating over the weekend with another suit. (Titan) It was so damn tight im going to have to shave my legs up top so it can slide better since i can feel it getting snug on hair.

I went for 560 this weekend in the suit. I couldnt get the suit the break. I also only had 1 spotter so i didnt feel too safe adding more weight. I blasted 560. But i ddint break parralel. I could feel all my energy draiing instantly while trying to get down.

when i upload the vids (tommarow) ill do a huge workout log update from Friday, Sat, and todays.

The videos are good tho, i got ver low on 530(ish) to wear people were telling me i got parraellel, but i looked at the video and just missed it. I missed it from the suit just not letting me get down. Next SAT is my last squat training day before the competition.

Im also weighing in at 205 right now (Doctor scale). I got to drop about 8 lbs if i want to be in the 198 class. Ill drop it easily, all ive been doing this week is EATING so im definatly holding atleast 5lbs of h2o.

P.S. SAT reblew more blood vesels, every damn heavy day i look like a puberty strucken teen with RED spots all over. BUT i embrace the look.

do you use knee wraps?

well to be honest I'm worried about you blowing a ligament or tendon at that weight without a smooth motion past parallel and back up.

the shearing force on a knee is at its max at about 60 - 80 degrees.

you must be superman :)
 
HMMMM then im gonna WRAP up....

Honestly i dont really feel it too much during squats. The area that is FEEL the most would be my left groin area. When im doing light weight and i explode up i really feel it. But when the weights get heavier and im unable to go as fast no pain....

Im going to invest in the wraps tho. I know my gym sells the inzer wraps for cheaper then inzer has on thier site.....so thats a plus....

They definately are not a cure-all but something with a little compression might help stabilize the knee, watch out for the knee moving inward and outward on the up/down motion. (Bowlegged, knockneeing etc...) Those are what willl get you.

Try them out, see if they are comfortable and take it easy :)

I've had a nagging right groin pain for a while as well so I know how you feel.
