Mermaid 2006

It was such a beautiful morning that on the way out to my car to go to the gym, I thought, no, I'll pound the pavement. It was the highlight of my day. As each hour went by, I became more tired, cravings were off the chart and was just pissed off. I couldn't work properly. I'm lifting tomorrow so I knew I needed some carbs. The baked potato was one of the tastiest things I have eaten in ages - my mum always said that simple was best :)

Anyway, didn't cheat, it's Friday night, no alcohol :verygood: and after my favourite oatmeal protein pancakes in the morning, I'll hit the gym.

TGI the weekend. Even though I have to work :(
HAAA - glad you enjoyed your potato!! :p Carbs after several low carb days in a row are ALWAYS so wonderful. I think we truly learn to appreciate them!! Hope you thoroughly enjoyed those protein pancakes this morning.

Congrats on NOT cheating on a Friday night, you are getting stronger girl!!

That is no good that they have you working this weekend!! They get two thumbs down from IP!!

Congrats on the no alcohol and on heading out to run! :)

Isn't it amazing how good something so simple as a potato can taste after days of low carbs? It's actually quite comical when you think about it, eating the potato with the orgasmic look on your face. ;) :lmao:

How were the pancakes and workout this morning? Your pancakes ROCK! :) :arty:
^^^^ :D

Oh man I need to leave... you said pancakes... :worried: :xeye:

Looking good in here, Mermaid! ;) Is your mood better since you were able to have carbs?

Nice on the run! What a great way to start the day...

Have a good one!

I woke up Saturday and felt like sh!t. I managed to get a massage appointment and had my lower back worked on - before she had even finished I had a headache. For the rest of the day, I drank nearly two gallons of water and had a very good refeed. I think I'm detoxing quite well. There were times when all I could think about was icecream :mix:

Sunday I had much more pep. My workout, even though I was lifting slightly lighter than in previous weeks, was great. I felt good...I feel good. Except I may be picking up P's flu bug so I'm upping the zinc and vit c supps.

*The carrot cake was gluten, dairy and sugar free - just carrots, rice flour, almond flour, sweetened with fruit juice. Quite nice actually.

Damn. Fighting this germ as best I can, was OK earlier but now just feel so fatigued. I think my body is reacting to all the changes. Still tomorrow is a Public Holiday and although I have to work (a Friday deadline), I can do it from home. Going to bed now (7pm) and hope to feel better in the morning.
