Your body will lag your face as you naturally get more sun on your face from every day activities.
Your legs will be the last to catch up about 2-3 weeks behind. They will also be the last to lighten up as well.
The reason they say to wait 10 days is for a type 1 skin type, they always burn, so getting 10-15mg of MTII into you and go tanning if you burn it will set you back allot of time until you heal and can reload after all the pealing and skin healing. Plus you waste all that MTII and have to start over.
Sounds like your at least a skin type 2, you should get some UV exposure on your body and either cover your face of use allot of sun block and in 1-2 sessions it should even out. Your body has different skin type than you neck and face, the thicker skin takes longer to catch up.
You can maintain your tan without sun but a little UV exposure really ramps up it's effect. One reason that is important is you can use a little less MTII and just get a little more sun for the same effect as just shooting MTII alone with no UV exposure.
I've been on for two years with no side effects. Good luck.
