Mekat's 2012 Transformation Contest Log

For the duration of this contest i will be running a 15 week SUST/EQ cycle, which i started on monday. The cycle layout is.. Sust 300 and EQ 250, 1/2 CC of each EOD...

Week 1-15: SUST 600mg + EQ 500mg
Week 18-21: Post Cycle/Unleashed + GHRP + GHRH....and then BRIDGE

I was doin SL 5x5 for a couple of months, up until January when i went to Hawaii for a week. Now im going to go back to my usual split which is...

Monday: Legs
Tuesday: Chest
Wednesday: Back
Thursday: Shoulders
Friday: Arms

That's just a quick layout of the schedule, i will go in more detail later in the journal. Also my diet is in check, not sure about the exact numbers but i'm just trying to eat as much as possible and space out my meals and shakes 2 hours apart.

I took some pics yesterday at the gym but completely forgot about the spoon :/
so i'll post them later tonite...Let me know if i forgot anything...and as always comments and feedback are greatly appreciated...PEACE

pics!!... today was 2nd injection, not much pain and soreness at all, it was also back day, my forearms felt extremely pumped for some reason, it was slightly unbearable during some workouts, other than that just trying to take it slow since I got back from hawaii not too long ago
 
Nice frame man. Not to be rude.. but unless you did a hell of a job bloating yourself up.. I wouldn't say you're 6% BF. Abs start showing sub 15%. You got good tone though, so if you did bloat up.. maybe you're around 10%?
 
lol no offense taken bro, I just ate a big meal right before I took those pics tho and was tryin to stand as natural as possible without flexing anything, I have however recently upped my calorie and fat intake to try to gain more weight and bulk, not so much worried about abs at the moment. that's me like 2 months ago in the avi :D i think ur right tho. I'ma try to get something to properly measure my fat, what I said above was just an estimation.
 
Hehe.. not trying to call you out bro by any means. BF is sooo hard to guestimate.. I know firsthand.. Last year I thought I was around 19-20% starting and I actually was closer to 25%. I ended up at 16.7% done by a bodpod and had lost over 30 pounds.

Extra cals and a new diet will definitely change up the physique. And yep yep, abs no important right now. You seem to have the body type that you can cut up quick, so just get huge and let your body burn of the fat natural. :)

Hey bro glad that you are in the competition. I have to say I agree pretty much with what my good bro bader said. Eat big and lift even bigger. That is where its gonna be at for you. If you wanna follow that split keep you workouts minimal so that you get the best amount of mass from it. If it were me I would do a modified 5x5 tho at your current stats. The thing is that what you have is a lot of lifting, while waning to put on the max amount of muscle.

heyy, thanx for stopping by johnny, yea im def gonna drop the leg extensions and add in front squats with the reqular squats..im just at work right now trying to make the day go by a lil faster..idk im just not feeling that "alive" today lol. I wish i woulda known about this contest sooner, i woulda picked some short ester compounds. Its so annoying waiting for sust/eq to "kick in." I shoulda ran some dbol to kick start the cycle but im not a big fan of the bloated look.
 
Good on getting rid of the leg extensions bro. They are the single worst excersize that you can do! Front Squats on the other hand are soo good for quad development and for knee therapy.

Food intake for yesterday was:

8:00am - morning shake on the train, 30g proteing + vitamins a minerals

9:45am - 3 egg omelet + 2 egg whites w/ turkey, brocoli, avocado, onions, peperjack chesse and whole weat toast + an orange

~11:45am - pro complex shake, 60g protein plus mineral and vitamins

~2:00pm - 1 pound platter divided into 3... Vegetable brown rice/grilled chicken/shrimp pasta
(sorry idk axact measurements)

4:00pm - pro complex shake...60g protein blah blah

5:00pm - Left work, about an hour train ride back home..

~6:00pm- Got home, took a shit and went straight to the gym, i usually dont like to eat anything right before i go to the gym coz it makes my stomach feel weird, and i feel like i have more energy without a full stomach. I dont take any pre workout supplements either, but will start in a couple of weeks. if any of u guys know any good ones, plz share. i was just gonna get power chews, but not sure yet.

~7:30pm- got outta the gym and had my post workout Hydro Whey shake (~40g) with a banana

~8:30pm - went out to smoke a blunt :D

~9:30pm - back home, had half a plate of mash potatoes and half a little chicken for dinner

~10:00pm - pre bed snack, 1 banana, 1 pomegranate, half a bar of hersheys dark chocolate

~10:30pm - pre bed casein shake (~40g)

What I would do is this,
Choice 1. SL 5x5 but add in arms.
Choice 2. Do what your doing but week out everything that is not big bucks. See my comments below.

shoulder press Alternate this with OHP every other workout. Put your reps in all excersizes between 5&8.

You put in the weights bro. But go HEAVY!!
Do them from the floor each rep. Bring the bar up to your lowest ribs and even your waist.

I really feel that it would be easiest for you to just mofidy the Strong Lifts 5x5. So if you wanna go that route just let me know and I will be glad to help you out.

I am gonna start a modified version of the 5x5, but will spread it out thru Mon-Fri and have Sat and Sun as my rest days.

ima get started on planning a solid routine and post it up for ur ctitique.. thatnx for the help bro

Decided to start with some Decline Bench to warm up, and since i havent done em in forever.
(BW=Bar Weight) BWx10 => (135x5)x5

BWx10 => (185x5)x5 this was actually a PR for me, if i have lifted this much before then i dont remember it so its still PR :D

yoooo...so yesterdays chest workout was AWSOME and it SUCKED at the same time. It was awsome coz i got a PR of 205lbs on bench :D but it sucked coz after my flat bench i got "tennis elbow" on both my arms :worried:. For u that dont know this is that feeling of weakness where ur forearm meets ur bicep. Im pretty sure this happened because i played handball on Sunday and Monday since the weather was really nice. As much as i love handball im pretty sure im not gonna play again for a while, i dont enjoy feeling weak at the gym at all. I sucked it up and just finished my workout, the funny thing is that my arms felt weaker when i was resting then when i was lifting lol.

Bench Press: 135x10 ; 205x4 ; 205x3 ; 205x6 (w/ slingshot) ; 185x5
Incline Press: (135x5)x5

Thanx bro...yea ive been looking more built and muscular and weight has also gone up, not much of a big change in vascularity yet but its still pretty early in the cycle,

I really wish i woulda kickstarted with an oral, but i decided on this cycle before i knew of the contest.. at that time i felt like i didnt want to blow up like a baloon on something like dbol and i would appreciate my gains a lot more if they are quality, slow and steady, plus i really dont wanna make it too obvious that im juicing to freinds and family.

On a side note, i have been feeling kind of fat lately lol. im not too worried about this now as its just part of bulking up but i know that ima have to start shedding some fat off after March. soo...if any of you guys know some good anti-catabolic fat burners, plz share, i was thinking of trying Albuterol as ive heard better things about it then Clen but really unsure about this stuff as ive never has to try to loose fat or cutt down.

I do however know how to change my died according to my current goal, so i will most likely be relying on that, and cardio, to get leaner.
 
Diet and cardio will lean you out. There are tons of people who will steer you away from clen and opt for albuterol as it is not as hard on the heart, is good on your lipid profile, has a shorter half life and is anti catabolic. I am planning on trying it, hopefully soon if I can. Running albuterol, n2burn or forged burner would be awesome! I think one guy actually ran albuterol/n2burn/t3. That would be an insane cutter but I personally have no interest in t3.

Overall the workout felt good, not as energetic as last time but thats prolly coz last time i did deads, those always get me pumped up...

Hey bro. Been keeping an eye on you from a distance LOL.
You doing good bro but here are some tips for you to think about.

Stack Forged Burner with N2Slin. That is awsome! Very next best thing to ephedra IMO.
On you power shrugs keep that weight BIG cuz thats where you gonna get the most from them. Meaning that last set, dont drop to 135. Instead even if you need to go doubles keep the weight at 255 or whatever your other work sets were.

In place of the DB shrugs I would do this,
Get set up like your gonna do squats, but instead do shrugs. This is an awsome trap and upper back builder. Go heavy. This will give you way way more then the db shrugs will.

You do this and you gonna have traps like that guy in the Buy Steroids pic bro.

Yesterdays WO (2/27/12): Chest

Decided to start the week off with chest hopin that i would be a lil more rested and hit it a lil harder...needless to say, i ended up playing handball again this weekend so i still got minor "tennis elbow" on my right arm :/

Flat Bench: (185x5)x5 decided to go back down to 185 so i could hit full 5x5
Incline Bench: (155x5)x5
Decline Bench: (185x5)x5

ok, so im really considering picking up some Katanadrol to finish the cycle off with and i got a couple of questions about it :D

1. Sine katana has a very short half life, would it be a good idea to run it at the end of my cycle and into PCT while i wait for the Sust/EQ to be out of my system?? (I thought this would be the best way to run this, since it wouldnt really interfere with my cycle, plus if i do decide to get it, i would get the "katana stack" from Mr.Supps, that way i could run the forged burner before the contest is over to cut some fat, and then just run a Katana cycle at the end.)

2. Is there any reason u wouldnt recommend runnin katana at the end of this cycle?

One cycle I took 750mg test, and took both katanadrol and dieselbolan at the end. Strength gains were unreal and so were size gains. Since I did all of this right before PCT, even with a good pct, I lost a lot of it. Maybe it was my diet and not eating enough, but one thing I wont do again is overdo it at the end of the cycle. I feel like slowly coming off would be better. With that said I think katanadrol by itself would be a great choice especially for a cutter

How many weeks did u run that cycle? if u dont mind me asking...ima go close to 15 weeks with this one, but i was thinking of just uping the doses a lil bit and running it for like 13 instead.

But by the end of the cycle im not gonna be looking to put on anymore size, just to cut some fat, and add some strength, thought katana would be perfect for this...and the Katana stack comes with Forma, Forged burner, and Forged PCT and i could use all of those lol

When it's at its worst the pain is so bad.
Needto has some skeletal balm that since I started using has nearly completely fixed mine apart from a twinge ever now n again.

I think the cycle was around 14 weeks....it was one of my favorite cycles ever. 750mg test is my sweet spot. I think the katanadrol will lean you up and you will like the results of it just make sure you eat a lot in pct i think trying to lean up in pct is counterproductive unless you have a perfect diet....and 400g of protein lol. Or try to plan your cycle where you take your final pics when youre just coming off

Yea Glad, that would be the ideal thing to do...but i think my cycle is gonna run a lil longer than the contest, unless i up the doses to like 700 Sust and 600 EQ, and make the cycle shorter, but what i wanted to know was if its ok to run the katana while i wait for the sust/eq to clear, since i really dont wanna waste those 3 weeks ima have to wait untill PCT.

..so it would look something like this..
1-14 Sust/EQ
11-17 Katana
17-21 PCT

..or should i just run the katana until the Sust/EQ finishes and then just wait out those 3 weeks untill pct?

Im def not gonna lower my food intake tho, thats the main reason i wanted to add katana in the first place, so i could lean out without cutting any calories or carbs.

This WO felt kind of crazy, it was the first time i actually dripped sweat in the gym, i think this was because it was the first day i tried Forged Burner. Let me tell u that shit is crazy, it had me feeling like i was on adderall lol. I also got some bad heartburn throughout the day, it was pretty unbarable during my WO, idk if this was coz of the Forged Burner but i feel like it must have been because i didnt change anything else yesterday.

...also, i woke up today and the scale said i was around 3 lbs lighter, not sure if this was coz of the burner or coz i started using forma-stanzol like 3 days ago, but i did see my abs and veins showing a little more... needless to say i dont know if ima keep taking the burner at the moment, i might use it in conjunction with the Katana when im actually ready to shred some fat, but ATM i dont feel like supressing my appetite :D
 
yea bro that sounds great, I was already thinking about just running it at 200mg a day and tapering it down would make a bottle last a lil longer too

Heyy folks, sorry i havent been around in a while, ive been slacking OD, not in the gym lol just in posting up and shit :D

anyways everythings been going well but i feel like im getting very tired of my current routine so starting next week ima start a new routine which will be...

Push/Pull/Legs => REST => Push/Pull/Legs....Repeat

I feel like this would be a nice change of pace and might shock my muscles to grow a lil faster, as of yesterday my weight is 174.8, thats aprox 20lbs since the startof the comp, ive been using forma as an AI too so water weight has gonne down, i can see it in my face lol.

Ill be starting Katana sometime next week so that should hopefully lean me out a bit too while still keeping the same weight, will keep u guys updated on how the Katana feels. Never done a PH before so it should be pretty interesting.

Heyy guys and gals...sorry i havent been updating that much, been real busy at work lately coz one of our front desk girls quit and ive been helping out a lot around the office, anyways i just stareted the new routine yesterday and i can say that im very happy with it, it was prolly one of the most satisfying workouts ive had yet.. this could be due to the HCGenerate and Katanadrol which i also started yesterday.. idk if its a placebo effect but i can def feel something different..

That's a nice looking push day there bro. What're you doing on pull days? I tried push,pull,legs and made the mistake of putting upright rows on pull day.
Are you doing deads on pull or leg days?

Thanx bro... On Pull day ill prolly do Bent Over Rows, Underhand (yates) rows, Power Shrugs, Seated Wide grip Lat Pull (horizontal and Vertical ) and some rear delt work, Oh and also some BB curls along with some Widegrip Chin ups and Pullups

Ima do Deadlifts on Leg days coz i tend to focus on my glutes and leg muscles more..

Did u mean u put the upright rows on a Push* day? coz i think they should be done on a pull day
 
Nah bro, I put the upright row on the pull day, but it was right after OHP on push day, add in all the benching and dips and my anterior delts were getting overtrained. Had to drop OHP and upright rows for a bit after 2 weeks of that.

Good you're doing deads on leg day. legs are used in deads nomatter how you do em :)

ahhh i see what u mean...ima see how they feel after todays workout, to tell u the truth i havent felt overtrained in a while so ill prolly like it no matter what, but after this fist week i should be able to adjust the amount of workouts and volume..

...also how did u set up ur schedule? im doin Push/Pull/Legs/Rest => Repeat ..this way ill hit the same muscle group every 4 days
 
Yeah that's the same as I did push/pull/legs off repeat. Works well, only thing is, it takes me 3 days to recover from leg days do my legs were permanently sore! Lol :)

lol thanx bro, 20 lbs from October to january and 25 in the competition, so 45 lbs total from October till now

...wow now that I think about it, that sounds kinda beast,

haha yea thats the plan radar, but i will be going for more of a body recomp for now, dont really wanna get much bigger or i wont be able to get in the army lol
