Man beats stabs and kills his mother then read to her the bible as she dies.

I have read judges several times but maybe Ijust turned my eyes to it. The old testament has always been a difficult read for me especially when I was more involved in church in high school.

Obviously you don't know much about Christianity. Christians have sacrificed their children by their own hand because "God" commanded them....no kidding, it's in the Bible.

"At that time the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah, and he went throughout the land of Gilead and Manasseh, including Mizpah in Gilead, and led an army against the Ammonites. And Jephthah made a vow to the LORD. He said, "If you give me victory over the Ammonites, I will give to the LORD the first thing coming out of my house to greet me when I return in triumph. I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering."

"So Jephthah led his army against the Ammonites, and the LORD gave him victory. He thoroughly defeated the Ammonites from Aroer to an area near Minnith – twenty towns – and as far away as Abel-keramim. Thus Israel subdued the Ammonites. When Jephthah returned home to Mizpah, his daughter – his only child – ran out to meet him, playing on a tambourine and dancing for joy. When he saw her, he tore his clothes in anguish. "My daughter!" he cried out. "My heart is breaking! What a tragedy that you came out to greet me. For I have made a vow to the LORD and cannot take it back." And she said, "Father, you have made a promise to the LORD. You must do to me what you have promised, for the LORD has given you a great victory over your enemies, the Ammonites. But first let me go up and roam in the hills and weep with my friends for two months, because I will die a virgin." "You may go," Jephthah said. And he let her go away for two months. She and her friends went into the hills and wept because she would never have children. When she returned home, her father kept his vow, and she died a virgin. So it has become a custom in Israel for young Israelite women to go away for four days each year to lament the fate of Jephthah's daughter." (Judges 11:29-40 NLT)

that's a real nice story java..

one, no where in that STORY does god COMMAND him to sacrifice his children, he offered it up for victory over the battle. Also that doesn't make it right to ignorantly insult an entire religion.

just because he read is reading the bible doesn't make him a christian, shit you've clearly read the bible are you a christian.. obviously fucking not.

also do you believe that every story in the bible is factual? cause that is what it is sounding like, maybe it's meant to be read as a story and thought about.. maybe there is a morale to be taking out of that.. anyhow..

I'm not religious.. but it's still fucking ignorant to insult all good christians because the action of some nutbar lunatic.

crappy father figure, if any.

immaturity

anger issues (small guy syndrome too?)

prozac, zoloft, etc. medications for years.

i wonder how close I am to that.

It is the American government - they feed these people drugs to make them crazy and then build prisons to keep them in. I recently saw this explained by a very reputable priest.

He actually sounds like he might be a paranoid schizophrenic.

Clearly, he was not thinking rationally to believe that he should kill his mom to avoid prison rather than just bringing the computer back.

To smear Christians because one guy read from the bible after committing a horrible crime is unfair.

I believe that the Christian bashers will draw at any straws that they can to smear us on here.

Yet, you don't see the Christians on here smearing atheism, paganism, buddhism, etc.
You guys are making the atheists look to be the unreasonable and intolerant ones.

No shit, GW didn't need reason....he had what God told him to do.... :worried:
Or maybe he just did an evil thing and used God as an excuse...

This is a ludicrous a thread as it would be if I made a thread and listed a series of heinous murders committed by atheists and then drew the conclusion that atheists believe it is okay to murder people. Ridiculous.

Maybe God told him to use the computer to download porn too.

Heck, I don't know. I just hope she returns and haunts his ass every day of his life.
