Lyme Disease

I'm not a physician but shouldn't antibiotics take care of it?
Abx take care of it completely if it's caught in time.
When it's not detected or caught and lingers for years (like mine), abx don't always work.
I speak to some people who have been on abx for 2, 3, 4 maybe 5 yrs.
Lyme dr's are not sure how much or how little work. There is not enough research into it.
Many people are actually on IV abx for months at a time.
So far, I've been on 3 diff abx (at the same time) at the highest doses and I don't feel any better.
I'm going to be doing homeopathy which seems to help many with chronic lyme.

I think everybody should ask their GP if he/she thinks LD is "real" then they'll know for the future.

I'm gonna ask our pediatrician next time I see him too.

Most dr's will not know anything about lyme. My Dr here believes very much in lyme. He runs the largest lupus clinic in the city here and when he went to his collagues to ask their opinion on lyme, they replied that lyme is not in Canada. Which is a joke since ticks and bugs don't need passports to cross the border of NY where the highest lyme rate in the world is.
Also, I've been to NY state prob over 100 times in my life.

But yes ask your dr's. I would be curious to see what they think.

I started the thread to spread the word. It's close to my heart now and I want to let others know to be cautious.
My strength is being CHALLENGED in a big way with this, but I'm going to kick lyme's ASS ;-)
Thanks again........hug :-)

Just curious, but how does this happen?

:cow:

Hey, looks like Blue already got this. Fillings (amalgam or 'silver' fillings) are composed of mercury, silver and a few other metals, with mercury making up to 50% of the filling by weight, depending on composition. Amalgam is considered toxic waste and must be treated as such prior to insertion in teeth. Any scraps must also be treated as toxic waste.

The real kicker though is this: mercury VAPORS (off-gassing) which are absorbed through the tissues (mouth or skin) are far more neuro-toxic than mercury that is ingested. In other words, the off-gassing from 'new' fillings, from 'destabilized fillings' (bruxism - night grinding, hot or very acidic food, placing a GOLD filling (two metals+saliva=battery), etc.) or from removing fillings (broken filling, cosmetic, health purposes) is actually worse than straight eating the stuff.

Personally, I had my fillings replaced with composite (the stuff used on front teeth regularly), not ceramic. Ceramics are good, but can contribute to tooth shatter over the long haul - my 2cents! My issues were straight up neurotoxicity - get new filling, get suicidal depression for six weeks right out of the blue. Get over depression, get new filling, repeat. Took about three tries to pick up the connection!
