i've been pricing new front doors for the Rnch house.........finally picked one out, fiberglass insulated, cut glasss and brass oval window, Lowe's installer came out (3 hours EARLY, dragged me outta bed!) to verify that they could install the door i selected.

everything's good, everybody's happy.........i go to the store today to process the paperwork and apply for the "12 months no interest no regular payment same as cash" financing that the salesperson kept mentioning.............the customer service biatch sez they have no such financing offer going on!! G-R-R-R-R-R-R-R!

the best they could do was to offer a 10% discount........with their TWENTY ONE PERCENT credit card!!!!!!!!!!

they just lost a fourteen hundred dollar sale............i wonder if Home Depot sill price matches??
 
Home depot matches prices and gives you another 10% . just bring in the price quote from lowes.. i dont know if it was a special order door though so they might hit you up with that charge and installation might be different.
 
That sucks, but I still have less trouble at Lowes. Everytime I go into Home Depot there's always problems. :(
 
I've boycotted lowe's every since they fired me. Still, the state ruled it a wrongful termination and I got 7 grand out of them (hey it covered all of my bills and school expenses for a while). The reason the dumbasses as customer service didn't know is due to the fact that none of them have ever worked anywhere inside the store, don't know what services are offered by individual departments (such as promotions like the 12 months no payments no interest) that do not apply to the store at large, and are generally in their first 90 day training period in the store.
 
6 hours after this "incident" happened, the salesman called me.......he went to his supervisor, who went to the store manager, who approved the financing AND gave me 10% off for all the hassle i went thru.

darn near as bad as buying a new car!!!!!!

Store manager's can't approve the financing, they probably just got someone who knew the item # that is suppost to activate it if it is a currently valid promotion. At least you got a discount out of it. Go to an asm or store manager and bitch there when you get hasseled and they always give you 10%.
 
Home Depot was $600.00 higher for the same door with installation----an in stock item at lowes, "special factory order" at the depot....they were also higher on their installation charges.
 
You should have super kicked the sales guy... granted it would have been assualt and battery, but you would have had a great story out of it.
 
saint, if anyone deserved an ass kicking it was the first little pencil necked, flat chested biatch at the customer service desk. she got off on denying me the financing. i had visions of my hand around her neck as i was walking out the door of the place.
