Longterm members, how has your life changed since you first joined EF?

I just noticed my own join date and it occurred to me how much has changed in my life since May of 2003. It made me think how much changes have transpired for probably most people who have posted here a while, and in a way our really old posts are almost sort of a blog of who we were and what was happening in our lives way back when.

Then:

I was in my 2nd semester of my Sophomore year in college pursuing an CS degree.
Had just started dating my first longterm boyfriend.
Was still working crappy parttime jobs in retail.
Had only been seriously lifting for 3 months.
Still living with mommy and daddy.
Was still kind of a punk and pretty immature in a lot of ways.

Now:

Long since graduated, switching degree programs from Computer Sci to Psychology.
Still with the same guy, engaged to him for a while now.
Have a pretty good job as an Exec Asst. to the head of a psychiatric hospital.
Own my own home now.
Like everybody else, on-and-off the iron a few times. On again right now.
Like to think I’m quite a bit more mature now



So, milestones, what has changed since your join date?

Sept 2000=me with dead end job and broke all the time but in really good shape and got laid a lot.
Now=graduate in may with masters in accounting and good job lined up but in not as good of shape as i used to be but that can be changed more easily than changing careers and jumping up a few tax brackets.

Well, one thing hasn't changed, I'm still not dating RW. I'm doing the same job with a different company. I have probably gained 10-15lbs LBM and lost at least that much lard. Other than that, smae ole, same ole.

changed career paths
went back to college
looking to change career paths (just got picked up for a fed job, yayaya!)
had two gf's, a few minor flings, and one stupid fight resulting in a arrest

may 2003 = I was probably lurking this site way longer than that. since september 2002 or earlier. Had just moved to miami beach a few months before and was still adapting to life down here , was finishing up my first cycle, gearing up to go back to NYC for the summer to work at a major lender on wall street.
that was an awesome summer. was in good shape, making good money even as an internship, and was back living with all my old frat brothers, friends and sororeity hoes

now = working on getting my life reestablished and back to its peak like it was a couple of years ago. got a good job (and a consulting position on the side), got my confidence back after a shitty relationship, have a great social life/network, and have been in pretty good shape the past 6-8 months (minus this past month).

now im married and on my second home.

I was very much single and renting in 03.

I'm almost completely void of compassion these days. I was only about 60% dead on the inside when I joined, but now I'm closer to 90%.

From May '02 to now the only thing that's really different is I have a job now instead of being in school. Sometimes I miss school, but overall I'm glad to move on.

Joined when I was first starting my whole divorce thing. I was in great shape and had a job with little to no responsibility and was making more in a month than I was in a year say, 2 years before. Turned into a job with all of the responsibility, made more, started drinking and sniffing a good portion of it, found out I owe uncle sam a shitload, stopped that job, pulled my head out of my ass, got back in shape, worked things out (I guess) with the ex, found out I'm going to have a kid.

I can see why Libras are seen as imbalanced.

my brother, dad, and soon my mom, moved away

im becoming much more self aware and aware of other people and how they tick

I found EF while running a search for Clenbuterol on Yahoo back in 2000 . . .

Everything is different now.

I'm a part of this industry and will continue to be a part of it for the foreseeable future.

but i super dig chicks with light eyes and dark hair. very rare combo

this chick im trying to tag (law school chick) has it going on. My ex did too and a few of the cuter girls i've hooked up with recently (including that bartender on NYE).
