Longest you've run T3?

Whacked

New member
(please include doses)

I have read a ton of threads whereby people say that running T3 for long periods of time DOES NOT necessarily mean that you're natty Thy levels won't recover. Conversely, it usually DOES come back. Apparanlty it's a pretty resiliant gland.

HOW long have you run it?

First time i used it..i ran it for 6 weeks. I took gugglesterones..and 7 keto for my pct. My heart always felt real funny while i was on it. I also had problems sleeping. I would wake up drenched in sweat.

a doping central in sweden claims that t3 does not supress the thyroid levels permanently. They always exagherate the side effects of everything, and they haven't even listed that side effect. And many people claim that it's a myth with no truth associated to it

is there people who has gotten their thyroid levels supressed permantently from t3? i do not know what to belive

I use it all the time. I have a thyroid problem and take T4 everyday which I have a script for, so I guess my experience doesn't count. Athletes that I help I've had take for up to 12 weeks with no problems coming off. With figure competitors I'll have them take an 8 week break and then go back on since they need to stay lean year round.

As a side note, to illustrate the power of T3 taken year round, when I was managing a gym a few years ago, Dave Polumbo came in to train. He was guest posing for the local show, that I had several athletes in. I was talking to him and he asked where he could get some food before he trained. I started naming off places that had clean food in the area. "No, I need McDonald's."! He ate 2 Big Macs, 2 large fries, and 2 apple pies! The guy was fucking shredded! His hamstrings looked line steel wires!

So 12 weeks ON and 8 weeks OFF year round?

What kind of doses are yo having them run? (I assume they're MEN?)

i have only done 1 t3 cycle and it was 6wks
wk 1 25mcg ed at breakfast
wks 2-5 50mcgs ed at breakfast
wk 6 25mcg ed at breakfast

i actually will be doing my second this coming april

I averaged 50 mcgs ED and went as high as 100 mcgs ED for approximately 12 months +/- 2 months. No problems here whatsoever. All values returned to normal ranges in approximately 3-4 weeks upon cessation.

I had been on T3 for 8 weeks - had my thyroid tested last week with results today and thyroid is a ok - obviously this does not mean it is ok to take T3 for more than 6 weeks and expect thyroid to be ok in all cases...my doctor told me that it is mainly due to my age (im 19) and am fairly healthy with respect to thyroid function etc therefore i was fairly 'lucky'. He also added that the thyroid is a major connection to the brain therefore is very very likely that T3 users will encounter some sort of psychic disorder maybe without realising after treatment ?!?

Yep. For the question above, I've had figure competitors(women), use T3 up to 100 mcg/day during the peak. With a proper taper up and down, there's no problem with a 12 week cycle and an 8 week break. As you can see from what Jenetic stated, it's possible to use moderate doses over long periods of time and recover fine.

describe a "proper" taper for an 8wk cycle?

25 mcgs/day for the first 4 days
50 mcgs/day for the next 4 days
Before you bump up the dose, at each interval check your progress and see if it's necessary. You'll have to see how you feel and how well the fat is coming off. You may only need to go this high. If you need to go higher then increase the dose to 75 mcgs/day until week 6. Take 50 mcgs/day for a week, then go down to 25 mcgs/day for the last week. Then you're off.
