O.J. just sayin'. You focus on race and ignore the most important factors...wealth and fame. Socioeconomic status is more determinative of your likelihood of doing jail time as opposed to race.

My point stands...Being part of the dominant group does benefit you but as far as trial tactics go it's less significant than ever. Having the money to hire the best attorney and experts are the most important factors...the "race card" is a new and powerful tactic. There was a time when being Irish or German would get you murdered, lynched or convicted. Yes, Germans were lynched and rioted against in this country. There is a reason my grandfather gave an English version of our family name when he immigrated. Al Sharpton would have you believe the color of your skin is the most important factor in your arrest and incarceration. If you look at sentencing, a black female is more likely to receive less jail time than a white male convicted of the same crime. Basically, this is how the hierarchy works....wealthy, female, male, black/Hispanic. There are a lot of people that make their living using race and have no incentive to expose the fact that socioeconomic status is the hardest thing to overcome in this country.
