Last one I promise: attention from body size

Any one ever get treated differently because of the body size/type

I only ask because im quite a bit larger and muscular than my friends and last Sunday we went to a fine dining restaurant so I had to dress up (im a t shirt and jeans, answer the door in my boxers kinda guy)

but i was wearing a tailored white dress shirt and some slacks and everything was cool

untill i noticed that the host/waiter was looking at me (im hoping not in that way) then when the main course comes he bring a rather large pepper mill about 3 feet long to the table and says "I brought the big one just in case this guy decides to cause any trouble"

at first it caught me off guard (do i not look respectable?) then i noticed the lack of any response at the table to him and i say "you dont need it man ive been told to be on my best behavior tonight" table laughs and dinner continues

then one of my friends point out that the dude is using the normal small pepper mill at everyone elses table, what the hell.....

Then when waiter is calculating the bill he comes over and says " i assume that youll be covering the bill for the alcohol"

I stare at him and raise one eyebrow like what the hell dude and he replies with "i dont knwo why im picking on you tonight"

what do you guys make of this?

douchebag waiter or?

The peppermill thing was just a easy shot at humor. I don't see anything wrong there but the alcohol thing I don't understand what was going on there?

Once upon a time I was a waiter in a place that screwed with it's customers. Thats what we did, it was loud, fast and on occasion abusive. LOL. Some times the joke just didn't work. My favorite was an old lady asking the bartender where the bathroom room was and he pointed and then said wait a minute you need the key. (dumb joke) but better yet the old lady thought he said "do you have to pee?" LOL. She was pissed. Yelled at the owner of the place for minute and went on her way. LOL.

I would take it with a grain of salt... People will look and think diffrent of you no matter how big, fat, small, tall, black, white you name it. I would take it as a compliment and move on.

Maybe the peppermill was an attempt at showing you what he had on his mine at the time then he was offering to go out with you if you bought the drinks?

i think it is all in jest

any comment like that is normally good hearted. even negative comments stem from jealously

1-Like most people in society, the waiter is probably jealous that you look like you do while he is TOO LAZY to get there so he's trying to bust balls...

2-He's working as a waiter until his stand up career takes off...

However, if the best he can do with his "life" is be a waiter, who cares?
