im on a keto diet and i was wondering if my usual carb intake is around 60 carbs, then add a waxy maize shake pwo do you think this will throw me out of ketosis?
Dude, I prefer to keep my carbs as low as possible on keto - TKD is slightly altered for people on keto and internsive physical training regime. You are fine to have 20mg waxy maize PWO as this will be useed to replace glycogen in your muscles due to insulin. You should be able to get back into ketosis within a couple of hours.
I always find I kick into ketosis straight after a large does of good fats - use Ketostix (can get em in any pharmacy) so you know when you are in ketosis.
Personally the only catrbs I have on Keto are 20g oats PWO and vegetables. I carb bulk one day on the weekend if im feeling depleted.
