Karma inflation... How to fix it???

I've seen an admin suggesting that K enters the system only through Store purchases.

Has that ever been done before by any board of any kind???

It could potentially destroy a board when the board and the karma are already comorbid.

I would have to see a case study of this already being done, else it would be far too big a risk, all other things being equal.

With all due respect Mr.db... You just asked me why inflation is a problem and then went on to give me the worst case scenario… An over inflated Karma system that just becomes worthless. Who cares about Karma when you can Max out somebody’s account with two hits???… Sure the site is not going that way YET, but we but we can see what the current snowballing effect is doing… We will get there eventually … I think you answered your own question.

Not at all. The formula here is different, the hits are a much smaller percentage of the total. The point of my absurd example was that there's no danger of it getting that bad here.
