First off congratulations thats a lot of hardware to be bringing home. Those comments from the judge were not professional at all. Those comments sound very personal and have no place in the sport. Next time you compete you should talk to more than one judge. If you have a couple of people telling you the same things then you know that's what you need to improve.

That's exactly what I thought - that it wasn't a professional or objective comment at all. And last nite at home - when my hubby told me that particular judge had been hanging all over another competitor - that 'splained it for me. I emailed the promoter to see if I can get in touch with the head judge.

And Ulter - thank YOU hun!! BIG HUG!!

Holy Crap! I just took a look at your journal which I havent in a long time and your pics! OMG! I didnt know you were doing a second competiton. Woah! Great work!

Hey Jen,

I saw that you were cycling carbs. How did you run yours? high/low/no ? 2carbs/2no carbs? Just curious. You leaned ot so nicely.

I was following that because my first trainer had me doing that. It DID NOT work for me and was so complicated I can't explain it to you. The mood swings were HORRENDOUS and I felt crappy the whole time.

The past 4 weeks were basically 40/30/30.

Congrats, congrats congrats! I am so proud of you and inspired. You did a fantastic job and you deserve the best.

The judge was NOT tactful in his comments, but I am sure he had an "ulterior motive" to try and be bitchy to you. Not exactly professional. But whatever.

But, I will agree with him in some instances - although I will try to say it nicer. :) Keep in mind, this is my opinion only, based only off the pictures you posted Friday. I hope nobody thinks I am trying to rain on Jen's parade right now, that is not my intent. I obviously think she has done a great job and only want to see her continue to improve and succeed.

Your shoulders are broad, which is great. But, next to them, your legs look VERY small. I do think you need to work on adding more meat to them, specifically, the quads and then thickness to hams. Focusing on these parts should even help round out your butt. I do not think you have a "fat ass", but you could add more "depth" and/or thickness to it. I think this would help balance you out VERY nicely.

Back, well, most women need help with their back (lats). It is a tough area to add to. Even Kelly Ryan was slammed for years for not having a back. It is one of those things you REALLY have to work on HARD to get. It is NOT something that will happen in the next few months - it is a goal you should set for next year's season. Yes, start working on it now, but it will take lots of time for it to come.

Great job! :)

Well, my group of friends saw him hugging on another competitor - and I think I did better than she did. I'm very happy with my placing - a 2 spot move up in 1 month! That's darned good IMO.....especially being so new at this, like I am....

I know I need work on my posing - that will come in time & practice.

I don't think I have a "fat ass" but it & my hams are my weak spot and I think I need to "firm" that area up. Any suggestions for how to do that?

And I find it hard to get my lats to pop out - which I think a lot of women have trouble there. Suggestions for that also?

And THANKS!!

*Wipes tear*

I LOVE it when you guys exceed my personal expectations.

VERY VERY PROUD OF YOU JEN!!
