I think it would do much good to get rid of black history month. Not saying that because I am white. Just for other reasons.

Yes it is and to be honest I don't like the term.
Assimilation as in assimilating any event made / created by an American of African decent into 1 month?

No months would be better. Whether it's one month or twelve is irrelevant. It's the fact that you're singling out another race. It's just not necessary and further magnifies a component of this diversity soup were trying to create.

Have you seen some full blooded Native Americans / tribal nation?? They can be blacker then me and there's nothing African about them.

I think dialtone said it best , eradicate racism and they'll be no need for a "black history month"
