Injection Question

My first shot rocked. I guess I'm a lucky one. I was tired (hit it in the morning right upon waking up) so that could've helped keep me a little calm.

ya i had mine in the mornig.. took about a minute... i finally said, ok, im gonna push the syringe close to my ass and if i feel it hurt, ill stop.. i felt nothing... i go to look and im half way in! it was a good experience and made it a lot easier after that

The physical part, acyually giving myself hot wasn't that bad the first time. Where I had trouble was mentally, I kept thinking of everything that could got wrong. I worried about hitting nerves, veins hell even bone(dumb yes, but I still worried about it). Once I finally convinced myself though it was smooth sailing

The reason outer quads is a good spot to inject is because there really isn't any major veins or arteries in that area. There is also no major nerves. Same applies to glutes and shoulders.

Bah i gotta give out more karma or the same people need to quit being right. LOL. Sweed and Krishna are on the money with this. I allways use the thight and never the glute personally, unless I am doing a lot of shots, such as with Winny injections.
And if you do not get blood when you aspirate, but get the cough, you may have passed through a vein, and no, you did not waste your shot, it is still in the right spot. Hope this helps.

to hit that nerve you would have to be injecting into the back of your thigh, somewhere in the hamstring area.

If blood starts to come into the pin without aspirating means you hit some big pipe. If it does after aspiratign means you are in a small/medium vein. Just pull up a little to clear the vein or down if you ahve the room. Or if you want re poke in another spot( i would use a fresh pin though if you re poke( so it doesent hurt). Its easy 123 onc eyou get the hang of it. Dont wory..my first shot..i was trembling so bad i coudlnt keep the pin strait hands were so shaky i coudlnt push the plunger. For up to 15 minute safter the shot..i was waitign and thinking....damn did it go into a vein...willi pass out soon and die. LMFAO......thats good though....as i learned the proper procedures...and use them to this time....now its like shootin fish in a barel.

Right On PJ, that's the first time I've heard "just pull it up to clear" Happened to me a couple times and since I go deep anyway (less soreness) I just pulled back 1/4in and injected, seems like good common sense to me , great advice.

1st time I was shakin like a virgin on prom night but now , , I get more tense clipping nose hairs,
