Infection from Fina - bros, help please

This happens to me every time I inject fina.

Goes away in three days.

I used to freak out but now I am used to it.

Bros, I made up a batch of fina a few days ago and took my first shot in the quad on Thursday. This afternoon (Sat) I've got a red, hot patch about 3 inches by 3 inches around the inject site. It is very hot, and its sensitive to the touch. If it elevates, I will have to go in to get some antibiotics. Hopefully it won't. During the fina process, the batch came out horrible looking, dark with floaties and crud at the bottom. I re-ran it through the same filter I used to make the final batch in the first place and it then came out how it should look.

Questions:

1- Has this ever happened to you, thoughts?
2- What should I do to the fina to sterilize it? Can I bake it? What is the process for baking it? I don't have anymore filters so, I would prefer not to get some, but, I will if I have to.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks bros.......

That doesn't sound good or normal at all. Fina does cause some skin irritation but it sounds to me like you had an allegeric reaction. Do as Riker suggested...throw the batch out and start over. Fina is too cheap and not worth running the risk of an infection.

Why not? A normal healthy person should have no problems tolerating this?

The first two weeks I had sleep problems and was a little more on edged then usual. At about week 4 they went away. Now it’s just hives and the itchies. Not bad. The bullshit with kidneys has never really been proven. Most people that tell you that this shit is really bad are the same ones puffing on a Marlboro and taking a drink of JD.

Funny thing is that when the itchies started it was in my crotch first. I just kept eyeballing my wife ready to kill her if I found crotch critters.

How much BA and BB did you use?

Filter it again,Bake it WITHOUT a pin in it,(For it to get to temp,it will melt that plastic right off and it won't burn the Fina and it won't burst),250 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

I did 6 weeks of homebrew and NEVER got the redness you describe,Keep a close fucking eye on that.

Bros, its now the morning and it looks better today. The redness is less and its not as sensitive to the touch.

I've got some conflicting responses here and they all seem logical. I think I will try boiling or baking it and try once more. I really don't want to have to wait for another batch to arrive and all that. If I have any issues on the next inject then I will toss this batch and re-order.

If I bake it, do I leave the rubber part at the top of the vial that you stick the needle through in? Or do I have to take that off?

i dont even put needle in it. @ 250 degrees it wont melt the rubber. leave it

Dude, the pin is for gas release since the internal pressure will build. Put an egg in the microwave and you’ll know what I am talking about.
