Incline BLAH day - 12/13/03

Ok so blah blah blah today was not a good day. My motivation was down due to being pressed for time (this affects my training bigtime) and subsequently i feel that my attitude affected my strength.

INCLINE BENCH
bar X 12
55 X 12
65 X 10
75 X 8 (this is actually a PR...most i have done is 6 here)
80 X 5 ...PR by 1 measly rep
85 X 3
* i didnt even go for 90 X 1 like i did last week cuz i wasnt feeling it
65 X 10

CLOSE GRIP BENCH
55 X 12
65 X 10
65 X 8
55 X 10

BENT BB ROWS
65 X 12...this was easy
75 X 12
85 X 10
75 X 10

I skipped doing dips
:rolleyes:

then i did 2 different tri pushdowns on the cables for 8 total sets.


BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
 
everyone has days like that....dont get down on yourself. Rest, and mentally prepare yourself for next time.

i hear ya

yesterday i worked arms and it was just terrible

i have days like that about once a month or so and i hate it
 
I am quit upset with you Smurfy, you know that you got the bar for 12 why do 55 for 12??? should have went for 65 for 6-8 and leave a lot in the tank and then bang out 85 for 5 solid reps, and then 90x3, instead of messing around with 75, c'mon you a smart girl too many sets will tire you out befor ehte big stuff
 
Hey girl!! One rep PR is one rep you couldnt get before! Dont be too hard on yourself. Youve been making very continual progress which isnt something to be underestimated. You may not have been at your best, but youll be that much more fired up for next week. Keep it up!
 
thanks guys. LordSus, you are definitely on target about too many sets before my heavy ones. I need to rethink my strategy (I know you also suggested this last week, and since i did not adhere, i think i need a spanking LOL j/k).

Yes, I concurr with LordSuston, if you spaced your progressions farther apart, you might not get as frustrated. Let alone the fact that it will save you time because you aren't constantly switching plates. Thus, you will have a more productive workout in the time allotted.
