and I doubt any metal bands label is gonna come after you unless you're really a bonehead about it.

These guys dont make money from the CDs usually either - mainly the touring.

I'm not really concerned about the individual bands.

LOL, same here. But even so, I've just never gotten into DLing music or anything involving computers. I don't know why, it's very common today. I just have an obsession with wanting to own the CD.

Although the idea of having 4,000 songs in ONE place is neat. Especially with everything programmable, so one can go album-by-album or what have you. I should probably get with the times.

Do you guys pay to DL your music? Like, what was the TOTAL cost in having 4K songs in an Ipod? Or is pirating easy?

I don't download my tunes. Like you, I want the disc with the artwork, liner notes, lyrics, etc. Plus, I feel like it's another way to support the bands/music I love. Even if they don't make much on the cd sale. I buy my discs and then import them onto the iPOD.

I get sent a bunch of stuff. For free. And a lot of sucks. But that's besides the point.

It's not that I feel guilty or anything, I just like having the real thing... and sound quality seems to be poor often on the DL'ed stuff. At least the one month or so I used Kazaa my frosh year, on '01. I'm sure it's improved. I used to get free or really cheap demo CD's, the ones identical to the official releases but in cardboard sleaves, from the Milwaukee Metal Shop back in the day, but even then I still wanted the CD, lol. Then again, this is coming from s guy who has four different copies of Seventh Son. And no, don't ask why, lol.
