If I gain too much weight, won't I lose inches in my verticle jump? Keep in mind that my vertical is my 2nd biggest priorty behind getting upper body strength. Also, keep in mind that I can't train my quads do to patella tendonitis.

A diet? Like B-folds?

Bwaahahahahahhahaaa...

Can't even believe those two words are even in the same SENTENCE!

:lmao:

LOL, yeah the words diet and b-fold do look funny next to each other.

However, I must admit, his "diet" will pack on serious beef. Thats how I used to eat, and it helped my quickly add muscle to a very thin body. However, I've decided to go back to being slim, so no more all you can eat buffets and stuff like that. I really miss the food. Tuna, chicken, oatmeal and flax gets old really quick.

:lmao:

Spatts and Haz: You two are just tooo funny. I just eat a lot and very often. Also remember that I do actually do a good bit of cardio work (in the terms of events) AND I weigh 280+. At my weight it takes a lot just to maintain weight, much less gain along with my event training.

I do suggest a gallon of milk a day and tons of carbs, tuna, hamburger, etc... I think that if you are eating 7 meals a day...at least one if not two of them should be a forcefed meal.

Eat all that you can. Eat like a horse for 2 weeks then diet for 1...or eat for 3 and diet for 2. Find what works best for you...but remember that when you cut back in your diet...you are cutting back in your strength and size.

...you want to gain upper body "strength"....does that imply that you do NOT want to gain size???

Please elaborate

you will and u can kiss your quickness good bye. Only weight gain as muscle will make you jump higher and move faster

i followed a stuff your face, force feed yourself diet on vacation... luckily, most of it was hamburgers, steak, ribs, chicken and fish....and of course a PB& J sandwhich made out of 9 pieces of bread.

Anyway , after that is all said and done, here's what i noticed.

1) i got a tan
2) a bit more defined
3) i have traps now :)
4) 2-3 lb weight gain.

i like this diet idea... if i didnt wanna keep my weight down, i'd definately do this year round.
