Look, I gave you my point of view and my opinion. I never said I had anything against American women or just women in general. I simply stated that the values of Latin American women are more in tune with some of our needs and wants when searching for a suitable mate.

Each person should be allowed the freedom to search for a mate based on their personal needs and wants, and travel as far as they have to in that search.

If you find my opinion is objectionable, that is your right. You can take it any way you like.

I will say... This complete overreaction to my voicing a simple opinion is a trait I personally would not find appealing in a mate (not that I'm looking or anything). I would LIKE to be able to have an opinion about something and not have the person I'm talking to try to make me feel bad over it. So far I haven't read a single line from you supporting your argument or refuting mines. You have just basically condemned my opinion, without offering one of your own...

NO, you're wrong. I would not defend any person who did anything as disgusting as hurting another human.
But as a woman, I've been treated horribly by men for no other reason than they assumed I was "some stupid bitch"
I'm not a feminist, I'm a believer in treating all people equally. But I have to say, the men who treated me bad gave me the stength to prove them wrong. And what I dispise is having to prove to anyone that I'm a smart/ good person.
There are many fucked up men as women, period! No one sex is worse than others.

Okay, the post that I made, TC2 check your K.

I can't go into details, mainly because I don't have time, but I can assure you, I knew these people really, really well. This man was very, very shallow, but I also believe he had a few "problems" (I think he may have suffered from one of the autistic spectrum disorders). He really didn't connect to most people on an emotional level, but particularly women. He was ONLY interested in a woman if she attended to his physical needs (not just sex, the whole nine yards, house, clothes, food, etc. A wife was a servant that you fucked, in his book). He truly disliked having conversations with women and was incapable of connecting with them.

Not saying all men who get mail order brides are this way. I've even recommended to a few guys to GET mail order brides. Look, I have NO problem with someone wanting a "old fashioned" household (man is king of the castle, has the final word in all the decisions, etc.). What BOTHERS me is when a man has that mentality, hooks up with a "modern" (read feminist, okay) woman, and then EXPECTS her to convert to HIS line of thinking and philosophy and then is pissed and resentful because she ISN'T what he WANTED, she's the woman she was when he married her. That's just fucking wrong.

For christ's sake, guys, don't MARRY an independent minded woman if what you really want is a submissive, retiring spouse, that's the whole POINT.

As a woman approaching a relationship, that should not be looked at as a flaw but rather an asset. A mate who is willing to let you take the lead is great IF you are sane, centered and have THEIR best interest at heart. Many Latin women LOVE American men for their easy going nature and willingness to compromise. Unfortunately, many other women do not see the opportunity but rather exploit this as a weakness. The result is a growing divorce rate.

I agree that one should look for a mate to suit their wants and needs.

I do however disagree with this notion that Latin women are "submissive, retiring spouse" they truly are NOT like this. They are very strong and determined. Their value system is just different.
