im going to go incline bench in the power rack

when i used to do it in the squat rack area i'd hit up like 365 ..

I have bin feeling a pain in mt palvic when I do my dead lifts...just a shot of pain whn I go above 450.and on the squat when I go above 500.it scaring the fuck out of me...it last a second then gos away.I fell no pain the next day or even mints after just a sharp almost rip like pain for a second then its gone...talk to the doc and he said if it was a herna I would feel it all the time but it still scares me.

ya obviously any pain is gonna scare you any pain i get anywhere around the groin area i automatically think its a hernia and it'll bother me 'mentally' for the next few days..

450 dead and 500 squat jesus christ hercules.. :) i'd be scared to even unrack 500 on squat..

its funny though i can prob. bench 405 for 2 reps..

bin stuck at 365 bench for over a year now...nothing I take and no training I do seems to get me over this.thats a 3 rep.me legs just keep growing though.

when I got the pain I could not lift as much or even close for a week.lol it fucked me all up.

for some reason i can incline press 315 for 5 easy reps on smith but barely incline press 185 on free..

i think i get more work on smith..

I am the same way....its the stabilizers bro...I fint I have more trouble just getting th fucking weight of the rack then I do pushing it...if I have a spot I can go around 250 on the incline free weight but with out the spot I can only handle
185 200.its getting the weight of the rack getting a handle on it before the press that kills me the most..I opt for the free weights if posable.I feel a lesser weight on a free weight works more then more weight on a smith every time.

as for me, today on incline i did 245x5 :) and then did push presses

i had 3 people ask me lifting questions today and one person said i was a beast!

i felt like a gym hero today :heart:

Well, dipshit.

I've never had anybody lift it for me, perhaps if I did I'd know how that compares to N2's 'Spotter Assisted' Incline Press.

Both N2 and Phaded both said that without that or the smith that they could only do 180... I can easily break that on an non-assisted Incline Press any day of the week. Easy.

bro i was def overexagerating on the incline press.. i can seated over head press 275..

i'm just saying my incline smith press blows my free incline press outta the water.. i thought the difference should only be around like 30 lbs..

Not claiming to be able to do 250+...

I can most certainly do a hell of alot more than 180 on any given day on an unassisted Incline Press... you said that was all you could do unless someone helped you unrack it.

Just saying... I can do more in that scenario.

with assist getting it out of the rack I can press as much as 275 5x5 incline but I will admit with out it 180 for reps is my max...with assist I can blow you out of the water though.its just getting it out of the rack that fuckes me up for some reason...it feels awkward to me.

on a mp press I brake 285 though feels fine cuz its up right and I can handle the weight

well thats respectable for you size bro...you make me want to work on my unassisted lift out the rack.its the first movement from the bar foreword that kills me I can handle the pull forward with more then 180.lol sounds week.

he said in his post that he benches 250+ on incline, however he needs a spotter to give him a lift off out of the rack (have you ever heard of a lift off before, you fuggin iron noob)
 
I think I have bin getting to much help on my un racks over the last 2 years though...it really makes a defence.I even have a assist when un racking in all my bench lifts except the decline :worried: fuck you jh1.

alot of people get lift offs, it doesnt mean shit


except me though i dont, i need to unrack it myself to get a feel for the weight...if someone lifts off for me when they letgo it adds that much more weight and im like fuck

I am like that to if I dont get the right spotter bro...there are some spotters that will lift to much of the weight coming off the bare then just let it go on you....kills me..the right spotter will only bring it foreword for me but not take any of the weight off of the bar...

Never had an assisted squat. Needless to say, I still couldn't do 550 for even one rep - assisted or unassisted.

Gonna have to agree o nthe size an power schtick.

I've had abs and it's nice and all ,but they are only good in the summer time for the most part when you can go shirtless.

Being big and strong shows regardless of what you are wearing.

On a side note, it's nice having that powerslam strength in reserve at all times and how other guys give you respect.

When I had abs I was alot weaker and smaller and I got tired of having the pretty abs, but feeling like a weak bitch.

The people that are big, strong, and got nice abs just have it lucky in the genetics department or are seriously hardcore about their diet and training.

If that's true then I'd suggest dropping some of that smith work. It's the stuff that you hate that you really need to do. If you're weak at unassisted lifts maybe you should take that as a red flag and focus on that for a bit etc. That being said you're definitely doing well in the size department.

i'm weak at one unassisted lift.. 'incline bench' and thats just cause of the unrack process.. i could prob. incline free 315 if someone could unrack it for me..

you just said you squat more then me...I squat 550 with 1 spotter standing behind me just to keep the bar steady till I walk it out and have a handle on it.
stance is a little more then shoulder width and pretty dame close to ass to the floor.I get 1 spotter to help me get the weight back into the rack because
I am so fucking drained after the lift its hard to hold the weight steady and get it back up to the bottom hook as I have to stand on my fucking toes a bit to get it back into the lowest hook.ya ya I am a short bastard 5'8 5'9

I've had two ACL reconstructions and truthfully the lower I squat the better it feels on the knees. Right at parallel is pretty much the worst possible angle. The safest points for your knees are a couple inches above and a couple inches below parallel. Stick to above parallel if you want a big squat to match the ego. Stick with a below parallel squat for any other reason.
