hope all of you are taking note of the societal pressures as well as obviously some hormones, that are affecting this dude's jugement. From the responses here most people have gone through it themselves. It's an insidious force isn't it? I'll bet UA has mapped his life out with this girl for half a century out. And in two years he'll be up to his eyeballs in debt building his fairy tale. ANd in 5 years or maybe less, both of them will realize they're different then they were when they met...because that's what people do, they evolve. You pretty much can't get married until you've gotten at least 80 percent into who you are.

Lol, that's not going to happen. I don't just jump into things, its not like me at all. I know that I love this woman, the skepticism is expected, but this is the real deal. I saw it happen to a good friend of mine, and thought she was crazy for feeling the way she did. 7 years later and they still have the best marriage I've ever seen.

I am glad I was with my fiance as long as I was before we got engaged, it is just better to actually get to know people before making life long decisions. Doesn't mean it won't last, it is just the prudent way to go.

I am not angry or depressed right now. I'm in a new relationship (known him a yr, seriously dating 5 months) and I am in love, but in no way would I jump into marrying the guy.
I've never jumped into anything with any guy. Mind you, my relationships never worked out cause I picked aholes, but even if I did have good men, I would just take my time.
