Igf And Cancer??

There are legitimate concerns regarding IGF-1 and Cancer. Though there are also legitimate concerns regarding GH and cancer. Both are proliferative.

Does this mean that you cannot use GH or IGF.. no.. but it does mean that this is something that you need to consider before using them as well as information that you should use in deciding on what "safe" dosages are... based on the research in mice the higher the dose the greater the risk.

So, NO , it's NOT common knowledge at all
testy?

Duly noted and totally agree...i've read in JAMA and other journals about once you do have cancer, IGF-1 can acclerate the growth of it.. ie prostate, colon, and breast from what i have read.

I had cancer this year and it was caught in the nick of time. A tumor was found after peeing blood on occasion. Doing a chest, pelis, abdomen scan with contrast they(Drs at loyola) found a tumor on my kidney 4"X5" and a thickness of 9cm. My endocrinologist took me off HGH the very next day. Why ? He said because it causes tumors to speed growth up. The Drs. said it probably would have matastasized in the next 6 months give or take 3 months. Now I don't know if it was caused by steroids that I took or HGH that I was on for 3½ years thru my endo at VA Hospital. The steroids that I took were human grade. But every 6 months I get bloodwork taken. I knew 1 person this year that was'nt as fortunate as me with kidney cancer but his matastasized and he was dead within 3 months. I was put on HGH because I had a pituitary tumor(found in 86) and it was very small about pea sized and I was given a test to see if I needed HGH. HGH had helped me very much and I still help people decide if they should take it. I think HGH is out of the question for me.

I'm a cancer surviver but just barely. All cancers don't present as tumors. I had large B cell lymphoma and I was going to the doc for a long time with all sorts of strange problems. They couldn't find it. They didn't make the connection that the nosebleed that wouldn't stop for three days was related to cancer. Or any of the huge number of other problems I had was related to cancer. The only reason I lived was the emergency room I went to had a very good doctor. Because of the level of pain I was in and what he saw in the xray he knew where to send me. He saved my life. If I had had a lesser doctor I'd be dead. And that's no joke, I mean it, I'd be dead. Cancer is hard to find because it's your body that is making the cells. If you had some foreign bacteria in your body it's fairly easy to find. But cancer isn't like that. And don't think it's because I'm fifty and your twenty it will be OK. I have friend of mine that his wonderful little five year old daughter died of cancer. It's not age related.

So for me I'll stick to test and tren and maybe a couple of other things but HGH and IGF1 forget it. The difference in cost alone is enough to prevent me from doing it. I can buy a whole bunch of test for what a little IGF1 costs.

Scary shit. Glad you made it.

Fuck it. IGF is now completely out of the question for me. Hell, these threads are even making me doubt my beloved gh.

So you're okay with the potential CA risks attributed to elevated free test or other powerful androgens but not GH?

I've been searching about MSG online now and I'm really surprised to find that it is much more common and not even listed in some ingredients. You're right!

For example, according to a few sites I've visitied, MSG is always present in texturized vegetable protein, hydrolyzed whey protein, and other seemingly benign ingredients.

If it's in the books that your going to die from something, there's nothing you can do to avoid it forever.Steroids play a big part in my having cancer but who's to say if it was the HGH or steroids? Eat Right,Keep Fit and Die Anyway is my motto since then. My life since cancer has taught me 1 thing, you can't avoid it if it's meant to happen. It will come back with a vengence or not come back at all. It's a mystery,is'nt it ?
