Recently, I had a blood assay done to determine HGH levels after a long term treatment using 16 I.U. HGH 7 days a week. This protocol had a duration of better than a year. What suprised the endocrinologist was that, although the HGh levels were elavated, the IHF-1 levels were not. Considering the presumed relationship between HGH and liver conversion to IGF-1, this befuddled the doctors.
Then, I read an interesting theory, perhaps by a respected member of this board, as to why. This person hypothosized that Arimidex may actually reduce IGF-1 levels. Since I am also on 1 mg of Arimidewx three times a day, I wonder whether this could be the reason for the lack of IGF-1 production I have experienced.
Yet another doctor was not concerned by this development, because he said that recent research shows that HGH/IGF-1 correlation may be tenuous and that HGH may still have the same benefits without elavated IGF-1 levels.
Is there anyone out ther who can direct me to any information on this. i have saundered around PubMed but have not found anything directly on point.
Please help. Thanks
